Vanessa Feltz was a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother 1 (UK) and later returned for Ultimate Big Brother.
Biography[]
Vanessa Feltz was educated at the Habersdashers' Aske's School for Girls and read English literature at Trinity College, Cambridge.
She started work as a journalist, becoming a columnist at She magazine, the Daily Mirror and the Jewish Chronicle's first ever female columnist. Invited onto GLR radio to comment on one of her columns, Vanessa ended up being asked to present the show and her career as a radio presenter was born. Her columns also brought her to the attention of This Morning with Richard and Judy where she became an anti-agony aunt. Spotted by Anglia Television, Vanessa was chosen to present the UK's first ever Oprah Winfrey style talk show - 'The Vanessa Show' ran for five mornings a week from 1994-1998.
Next she spent two years interviewing celebrities aboard The Big Breakfast bed as well as hosting a year long Sunday morning show on Talk Radio and Value For Money (1995-2000). In 1998 Vanessa moved to the BBC where she has spent the past two years presenting several shows including Vanessa, Talking TV, I Will Survive and Net Rescue. Famed for her outsized figure, in the year 2000 Vanessa shed six stones in weight. Her fitness video If I Can, You Can is currently at number one in the UK charts. In fact, she'll be touring the country in 2001 taking the If I Can, You Can motivational show, performed with her fitness trainer Dennis Duhaney to theatres all over UK.
Vanessa is the Agony Aunt at Woman's Own magazine and has a brand new column in OK Magazine. She's 38 years old and is divorced with two daughters aged 11 and 14.[1]
