Tychon Carter-Newman is the winner of Big Brother Canada 9.
A key member of the dominant alliance in the season, The Sunsetters, Tychon had overall great control and positioning in the house's dynamics because of his relationships, competition wins and strategic acumen in picking off threats and power players.
While mostly loyal to The Sunsetters, Tychon eventually defected from this alliance during the late end-game to give himself a better chance of winning the game, leading to the evictions of his closest allies Jedson Tavernier, Beth Bieda and Kiefer Collison. This further allowed him to reach the final two with Breydon White. The jury deemed Tychon's overall gameplay as more superior than Breydon's passive gameplay, which gave him the victory by a landslide vote of 6-1, only losing Tera Gillen-Petrozzi's vote.
