The Coven alliance was the dominant alliance in the first half of Big Brother 10. Known as one of the most explosive and catty alliances in the history of the show, its members eventually dissipated into opposing alliances for the jury stage of the game. It originally consisted of Libra Thompson, April Dowling, and Keesha Smith.

During the early weeks of the game, the three women aligned and pulled in Bryan Ollie. Though throughout there'd be infighting, the alliance stayed intact.

The alliance started off very strong in the game, after successfully winning multiple competitions and evicting Brian Hart for overplaying. They also played huge parts in taking out the houseguests who were linked with Brian in Week 1, Steven Daigle and Angie Swindell in Weeks 2 and 3.

After April won HOH in Week 4, the alliance intended to target Memphis Garrett, who they perceived as a threat. Jessie Godderz was nominated as the pawn and after neither nominees were able to win the POV, Memphis was likely to be leaving. However, after a huge blowup between Keesha, Libra, and Jessie, the former two decided to betray the latter. They convinced Renny to vote him out, and America's Player Dan Gheesling was told by America to also vote out Jessie, blindsiding everyone else in a 4-3 vote.

Feeling betrayed by their decision, April effectively left the alliance and aligned with the remnants of Jessie's alliance after Michelle Costa won HOH in Week 5. The alliance ended with all three members yelling at each other.
