The Committee is the dominant alliance in Big Brother 22 that consists of Christmas Abbott, Cody Calafiore, Dani Briones, Memphis Garrett, Nicole Franzel and Tyler Crispen.

This alliance is the highest performing, numerically, in the history of the US series. With 12 HOH’s and 11 POV’s, they controlled the entirety of the season, even going as far as winning every single competition but 2. Despite this, however, the alliance was controversial among fans as many felt though it made the season boring and predictable. Additionally, many believe that the alliance was set up through preseason pregaming.

History[]

Creation[]

The Committee was formed in Week 1 during Cody Calafiore's Head of Household reign after talking to Memphis Garrett. Memphis would then go ahead and rheel in Christmas Abbott, Dani Briones, Nicole Franzel and Tyler Crispen.

In Power[]

The Committee alliance was in power during Cody's Week 1 Head of Household reign. Cody would go on and nominate Keesha Smith and Kevin Campbell for eviction, after his original plan was ruined by the Safety Suite, with his target being Keesha. Despite not winning the Power of Veto, the nominations were kept the same and despite Janelle Pierzina's attempts to get votes for Keesha, Keesha was sent packing by a 13-0 vote, solidifying their first successful HOH reign.

Is he with us?[]

Memphis would go on to win the second Head of Household of the season, this time, as both Janelle and Kaysar Ridha were vulnerable - it was clear who the targets were. Despite his alliance's pitches, Memphis played the middle and nominated David Alexander and Nicole Anthony, with his primary target being David. Memphis and Tyler both competed in the Veto, and with distrust towards Memphis growing, Tyler was gunning for the Veto. Despite both landing in the final 2, Tyler lost the Veto, and Memphis officially had full power for the week. He discarded the Veto, angering the 5 who pitched backdooring Janelle from the House. Nicole was then evicted by a 10-2 vote.

Getting out a Target[]

After the sneaky second week, Tyler would win the third Head of Household of the season. This time, nothing would come between the alliance's goal. Tyler nominated Janelle and Kaysar for eviction, with their target being Janelle. With Cody winning the Power of Veto, their fates were pretty much sealed. Janelle was finally evicted by a 9-2 vote.

Eliminating their enemies[]

The alliance continued to dominate. In week 4, affiliate Enzo won HoH and aided the alliance in getting Kasyar out. In week 5, Christmas became the HoH and targeted Bayleigh. Tyler however wanted to go home. He told Bayleigh and Da'Vonne that he wanted Christmas to use the veto and out him on the block because he felt responsible for them being on the block. He also admitted that they were there for a bigger purpose since they are both Black women. After telling Christmas however, she refused to put him on the block. Christmas left the nominations the same, which led to a huge argument between Christmas and Bayleigh. Bayleigh was evicted. In week 6, Dani became the HoH. Despite wanting Tyler out initially for distrusting him, the alliance evicted former winner Ian Terry. In week 7, Memphis became the HoH and Da'Vonne was evicted. In week 8, Cody became the HoH and the alliance evicted Kevin. That same week however, a Triple Eviction for the first time in US history occurred. In the second round, Memphis became HoH, and the alliance evicted the last person not in the alliance David.

Turning on Each Other[]

With David gone, the alliance was forced to turn on themselves. In the 3rd part of the Triple eviction, Tyler became HoH, and the alliance evicted Dani. In week 9, Cody became HoH and the alliance evicted Tyler. In week 10, Nicole became the HoH and nominated Memphis and Christmas, with the former as the target. Nicole won the PoV as well, keeping the nominations the same. While Enzo attempted to persuade Cody to keep Memphis due to Christmas not being trustworthy, Cody saw Memphis as a bigger threat and was unwilling to go against Nicole, resulting in the two of them unanimously evicting Memphis. Following Memphis's eviction, Enzo became the HoH. By guaranteeing himself a spot on the final 3, he became the 6th ever houseguest to reach the final 3 without being nominated the entire season. Enzo talked to Christmas about taking out Nicole next for being a threat. Despite considering nominating Cody, as he wanted to be the one to say he was never nominated once this season, he nominated Christmas Nicole. Cody won the final PoV, making him safe and the 7th ever houseguest to make it to the final 3 without being nominated. While Christmas attempted to convince Cody to keep her by pointing out Nicole was a threat, as well as promise to take him to the final 2 if she won the final HoH, Cody cast the sole vote to evict Christmas.

Winner[]

Cody, Nicole, and Enzo competed in part 1 of the final HoH. Enzo dropped first, leaving Cody and Nicole to battle for the win. Cody eventually fell off, making Nicole the winner, and allowing her to advance to part 3. In part 2, Cody easily defeated Enzo to advance to part 3, forcing Enzo to go on the block for the first time this season. Cody won part 3, making him the first-ever houseguest to win the final HoH twice, 3rd ever player to make it to the final 2 twice, and first ever player to go a season without ever going on the block. He cast the sole vote to evict Nicole, making her the final member the jury. After the jury Q/A, Cody was voted the winner in a unanimous 9-0 vote, making him the second-ever winner to finish a season with no eviction votes cast against him and all the jury votes (Perfect Game) after Dan Gheesling.

Trivia[]

  • Dani is the only member of the alliance to never win an HOH and a POV in the same week in Big Brother 22.
  • Week 4 is the only week (not including affiliates) where no member of the alliance won an HOH or a POV.
