The first HoH, Miesha Tate, had eyes on Teddi from the first night, noticing how well-balanced she was in the HoH competition. When Miesha hatched a plan to backdoor Teddi, Mirai Nagasu tipped Teddi off. Scrambling, she made a deal with Miesha, which protected her from initial nomination. But when nominee Carson Kressley won the veto, Miesha kept her focus on the increasingly visible trio of him, Teddi, and Cynthia Bailey. And so Miesha went back on her deal, putting Teddi up on the block. She was granted a momentary possibility of safety when the Mon Won twist put Todd Bridges next to her on the block. Despite a close vote count and a plea to not let her go out through a backdoor, she was voted out anyway. She placed 11th and became the first member of the Jury.
