Shelby Jean Stockton^[2] was a HouseGuest in Big Brother: Over The Top.

Shelby started the game as a major candidate for eviction, as people saw her as annoying and she had yet to form any relationships. Sisters Alex and Morgan soon reeled her in where she would join them and Whitney Hogg as a member of The Ball Smashers alliance. She later found herself in a good position, by playing dumb, hiding her status as a law student, and appearing as a goat people could take to the end, while gaining popularity with the fans. Following Alex's sudden eviction, and Whitney's betrayal, Shelby soon became a major threat, winning back to back HOHs, a POV, and managing to keep herself and her only ally Morgan in the game for several weeks. Despite Morgan winning HOH in Week 8, Shelby failed to win the final veto, and was nominated by default, because she was the only houseguest available, as Justin Duncan was immune. Seeing her as a major threat to win the game, the remaining houseguests voted to evict her, placing fifth.

Throughout the season, she was known for her snarky, funny personality, her bluntness and brutal honesty, her piñata named JoJo, her love of Krackels, and her bitter rivalry with Jason Roy.

What do you think will be the most difficult part about living inside the Big Brother: Over the Top house? Having to eat slop. I am not sure I can stomach it.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game? Fly under the radar and avoid alliances for the first few weeks, pretend I work as a waitress, and generally, pretend to be dumb.
Which Big Brother Houseguests do you like the most and least?
Most: I like Hayden Moss from Season 12 because he is hot and went to ASU.
Least: I don’t like Britney Haynes and Monet Stunson from Season 12 because they just sit around talking smack all day.
What would you take into the house, and why? Makeup, a Harry Potter book because I will always love Harry Potter, and a secret stash of junk food because I don’t want to share.
Fun facts about yourself:
I have hyperhidrosis (aka really sweaty hands and feet).
I won a spelling bee in 7th grade.
I used to have a creepy laugh in middle school and it earned me the name “the Ghost.”
I am obsessed with barbecue sauce.
I’ve never seen Star Wars, The Godfather, or Scarface.

Trivia

Shelby is the sixth American HouseGuest in Big Brother history to win HOH in the first part of a Double Eviction and then again after it happened. The other HouseGuests to accomplish this were Zach Swerdzewski, Ian Terry, Nicole Franzel (even though she was dethroned the second time), and Victor Arroyo. She would be followed by Jackson Michie.
Shelby is the second person on Big Brother: Over The Top to win multiple HOHs. The first was Danielle. She was later followed by Jason.
Shelby is the third HouseGuest to win HoH and PoV within the same week in Big Brother: Over The Top, preceding Danielle and Jason.
Shelby is tied with Danielle and Morgan for the most competitons won by a female in Big Brother: Over The Top with three wins each.
