Shackles are a recurring punishment in Big Brother that is usually the result of a Power of Veto competition. The HouseGuest who receives this punishment must be shackled to the Housemate of his or her choosing at either the wrist or the ankle for 24 hours.

Brendon Villegas was handcuffed to Britney Haynes for 24 hours.

Britney Haynes and Danielle Murphree spent 24 hours chained together at the ankle.
Big Brother 15
McCrae Olson and GinaMarie Zimmerman were given "The Gift of Friendship" by Head of Household Spencer Clawson, which meant that they had to be tied together at the wrist by a "friendship bracelet."
Big Brother 16
Victoria Rafaeli and Caleb Reynolds were attached at the wrist for 48 hours by a "vine" as a part of the "Adam and Eve" punishment for winning the week 6 Battle of the Block competition.
Big Brother 17
Vanessa Rousso and Jackie Ibarra were attached at the ankle for 24 hours in which Vanessa was the squire to Jackie the knight as a punishment from the week 6 Power of Veto competition.
Big Brother 19
Paul Abrahamian and Christmas Abbott were attached at the torso for 48 hours as part of the "Tandem Skydiving" punishment from the week 7 Power of Veto competition.

- Britney Haynes is the only houseguest to be shackled twice. She is also the only houseguest to be shackled on their second attempt.
