The Second Chance Challenge is a new competition that was introduced in Big Brother Brazil 20.

Each week before the final eviction vote, the final three nominated contestants would compete in a last chance competition to save themselves. The winner of each competition would then be saved from the eviction vote with no chance to replace the nominee by reducing the three nominees to final two nominees.

The competition was later introduced to the American franchise in Big Brother 26 (US) as the AI Arena. With the success of the concept, the twist is scheduled to return for Big Brother 27 (US) as the BB Blockbuster.

Day 60[]

At the star of Week 9, the remaining houseguests were introduced to Second Chance Week. On Day 60, the three nominated houseguests Adriana Fernandez, Christina Podolyan, and Sarah Jane Adams competed in the first ever Second Chance Challenge. In order to earn safety, the nominated houseguests had to build a 60-piece puzzle wall and then demolished it using a swinging wrecking drum. Sarah Jane demolished her puzzle first, saving herself from eviction.

Day 61[]

Continuing Second Chance Week, an additional Second Chance Challenge was held on Day 61. As the nominated houseguests, Ari Kimber, Daniel Hayes, and Sid Pattni competed for safety, having to balance on a slackline while holding a rope for as long as possible. After Ari and Sid both fell off of the slackline, Danny was crowned the winner and was saved from eviction.

Week 1[]

As the final nominees, Kenney Kelley, Kimo Apaka, and Matt Hardeman competed in the first AI Arena competition, called "Glitch in the System". A series of looping videos of the other houseguest played on screens around the arena. The nominees had 2 minutes to determine which houseguest's image appears the most times. The winner would be the most correct answer in the fastest time. Kimo correctly guessed that Quinn appeared the most, earning safety for the week.

Week 2[]

Angela Murray, Lisa Weintraub, and Tucker Des Lauriers competed in "Security Race". The players had to arrange pegs on the floor to correctly assembly a puzzle. Tucker completed the puzzle the fastest and earned safety.

Week 3[]

Due to the activation of America's Veto, the viewers voted for Quinn Martin to be the replacement nominee. Immediately after this was revealed, he completed alongside Kenney and Tucker in "Data Dump". The nominees had to collect 20 red data balls amongst data balls flying around their boxes. There was no penalty for incorrect balls, but they did not count toward the total. Tucker collected all 20 balls the fastest and earned safety.

Week 4[]

Nominees Cedric Hodges, Makensy Manbeck and Rubina Bernabe competed in "Upload, Download", where players had to roll 5 smaller balls on top of a ramp and then knock them off with 5 larger balls. Makensy narrowly beat Rubina to win the competition and earned safety.

Week 5[]

Brooklyn Rivera, Cam Sullivan-Brown and Chelsie Baham competed in "Digital Decryption", in which players had to unscramble strings of letters to help them assemble 3 puzzles. After the players took so long to finish that the letters were unscrambled, Chelsie won the competition and earned safety.

Week 6[]

Angela, Makensy and Tucker competed in "Puzzling Password", in which players had to solve a 10-piece puzzle in order to reveal a 10 digit number, which they would have to find from a collection of numbers, and plug it in. Makensy won her second AI Arena competition and earned safety.

Week 7[]

Joseph Rodriguez, Kimo and Rubina competed in "Bandwidth Boosters", where they had to unravel a rope that they were tethered to from a large frame so that their rope would be long enough to plug it in to a socket and win. Rubina won her first competition and earned safety.
