Creation[]
On the first night of Big Brother 24 (US), Daniel Durston and Nicole Layog met in the HOH room and formed the Rogue Rats.
Early Control[]
The alliance immediately got power as Daniel had won the first Head of Household competition. They originally decided to target Michael Bruner for his knowledge of the game. However after Michael won the POV, they decided to target Taylor Hale. Throughout this time, Daniel and Nicole made strong connections to Ameerah Jones and Paloma Aguilar. Unfortunately for them, Paloma walked on day 8. Thus this cancelled the week and Daniel and Nicole’s target Taylor was kept safe. Daniel and Nicole were in good positions in the house after Jasmine Davis won HOH. During this time, Nicole joined the Po’s Pack alliance. Which allowed them to have more connections throughout the house. Daniel and Nicole joined the rest of the house in voting out Pooch Pucciarelli.
The Leftovers[]
- Main article: The Leftovers
Heading into week 3, Daniel and Nicole seemed to be in good positions and they were targeting Taylor. Despite it seeming like an easy week with Matt Turner as HOH and targeting Taylor. The day before the veto meeting, Daniel and Nicole publicly berated and got into a fight with Taylor. This led to The Leftovers being formed. At the POV meeting, Turner decided not to nominate Taylor and to instead target Ameerah with Terrance Higgins as the pawn. Blindsided by this move, Daniel and Nicole campaigned to keep Ameerah. However, The Leftovers had the numbers to take out Ameerah and they successfully did, leaving Daniel and Nicole shocked.
Downfall[]
Blindsided by Ameerah’s eviction, Daniel and Nicole were determined to win HOH. Despite the Rogue Rats coming close to winning, Leftovers member Monte Taylor won HOH and targeted Nicole by backdooring her due to her affiliation with Ameerah and her strong social game. Despite Daniel winning the POV and not wanting to be a possible backdoor option, Daniel decided to veto Monte's initial nominations as the duo did not believe Monte's truthful warning that if the veto was used, Nicole would go home, not Taylor, once Monte placed them both on the block as replacement nominations. The Leftovers then took this opportunity to evict Nicole and they were successful as Nicole was evicted by a vote of 9-1.
Defeat[]
Nicole’s eviction left Daniel by himself without any allies. Michael went on to win HOH and decided to target Daniel to please Taylor and to get revenge for his nomination on Week 1 during Daniel's HOH reign. Similarly with Nicole's eviction the week prior, Michael planned on backdooring Daniel to prevent the latter from playing on the veto competition. Daniel and Terrance hatched a plan to throw the POV competition so that Monte could be evicted instead. Despite this plan seemingly working out and having Michael win the POV, Michael still decided to go through with his plan and backdoor Daniel. Ultimately, Daniel was evicted by a vote of 8-1, with only receiving Terrance’s vote to stay.
Trivia[]
- Both members of this alliance were evicted before the jury phase.
- Both were evicted by getting all votes except for only one other vote cast by a male houseguest.

- The other nominee was a member of The Leftovers.
- It was a replacement nomination as a backdoor target by a male Head of Household who was a member of The Leftovers.
