Notes:
- In cases where the entire house left the house, such as the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has not been added to the list. Only cases where a single contestant left and came back during the season run with no production schedule breaks.
- In order to fall onto the list, those who are voting must be unaware that the person that they are voting out will return.
- In public voting seasons, only when a contestant is sent home and brought back it is counted. "Vote to Move" or "Vote to Fake Evict" are not counted as the voter was aware that it is a non-elimintion.
- In house voting seasons, after the eviction vote takes place and the host announces that that contestant is evicted. Regardless if they exit the house or not.
Seasons With No Winners
- The following seasons never intended to have a winner and were more shown as a reality show to win prizes rather than the social experiment outcome. No nominations were given throughout the show, as no winner was crowned:

Notes:
- Votes to save, evict, or make immune were not added to the numbers. Only nominations for possible eviction against a public vote.
- Numbers are skewed to reflect one name to one nomination. For instance, each nomination could be worth multiple points ranging from 1 to 5. But to make the numbers the same worldwide, each nomination was tallied as one point.
- Seasons where more than two nominations could be made by a contestant each round.

Notes:
- Numbers are skewed to reflect the Final Round before their first nomination due to the length of season and amount of contestants.
- One chance is every time a Head of Household has the opportunity to nominate a contestant, the Nomination Ceremony & the Veto Meeting.
- Seasons with the Battle of the Block have more chances since there were two Heads of Household nominating during the Nomination Ceremony.
Competitions Records
Since Big Brother 2 (US) in 2001, the American version introduced the contestants competition in competitions for power over nominations, saving nominees, and votes to evict. The American version would go on to move away from the public vote to a house vote to evict. However, not all countries have done so. In more recent years, competitions have been taken place to assume power of nominations in countries that still use the public voting format.
Most Competition Wins
Head of Household Wins
Note: Not to be confused with the Head of House power, where the leader is voted among their fellow contestants for power.
The Head of Household, also known as the HOH, is the contestant that nominates two or more houseguests for eviction.
Other names for the same power include:
- Head of House
- Big Boss
- House Captain
- Master of the House
The countries that use a competition for the Head of Household competition are:
- United States (English 2001 - present) & (Spanish 2016 - present)
- Brazil (2002 - present)
- Belgium (2003 & 2006)
- Finland (2009)

Nominator Wins
The Nominator is a spin-off of the Head of Household competition. Instead of holding the power over a week cycle by a single person, the winner(s) of the Nominations Challenge will nominate two or more contestants to be up for eviction that night. The main difference is that more than one person can win the Nominations Challenge at one, examples can be either duos or teams. In addition, multiple cycles will happen in the same week, at most three or four contestants can be evicted in a different week. So, the dynamics are slightly different than the Head of Household power.
- Australia (2020 - 2023)
Power of Veto Wins
The Power of Veto, also known as the POV or the Veto, is a power won by a contestant in order to save one currently nominated contestant from the eviction list. Other names for the same power include:
- The Save & Replace
- The Gamechanger
- The Big Brother Games
- Straw Swap
- Boomerang Proof
The countries that use the Power of Veto competition are:
- United States (2002 - present)
- Canada (French 2010, 2021 - present) & (English 2013 - present)
- United Kingdom (2010 & 2018)
- Indonesia (2011)
- Finland (2011)
- Israel (2015 - 2016)
- Nigeria (2019 & 2021)
- Portugal (2024 - present)
Second Chance Challenge
The Second Chance Challenge, is a last minute chance for a nominated contestant to save themselves from the vote. In a twist on the Power of Veto, the winner is taken off the block with no individual choice of taking the person off or not, and no replacement is declared. This competition usually takes place the day of the vote, so there is no time to make a replacement. Other names for the same power include:
- Back-And-Forth
- AI Arena
- Salvation Competition
The countries that use the Second Chance competition are:
- Brazil (2020 - present)
- Australia (2021 - 2022)
- United States (2024 - present)
- Chile (2024 - present)
Power of Immunity Wins
The Power of Immunity translated from Prova do Anjo, is a power won by a contestant in order to protect one contestant from nominations. The protected contestant will then be unable to be nominated by the Head of Household or the rest of the house. In some situations, the winner may or may not use it on themselves. Other names for the same power include:
- The Angel
- The Kamba Necklace
The countries that use the Power of Veto competition are:
Battle of the Block Wins
The Battle of the Block was a competition where two different sets of nominated contestants compete for immunity for the rest of the week. Each week two different Heads of Household would nominate two contestants each. After being revealed, the two groups of nominated houseguests would battle for immunity. The winning pair would be safe and the Head of Household that nominated them would be "dethroned" and lose their Head of Household privileges and would later be eligible to be nominated after the Power of Veto. The losing pair would remain nominated and the Head of Household that nominated them would remain the Head of Household for the rest of the week. The countries that used the Battle of the Block were:
