Big Brother Firsts

America

• William Collins is the first HouseGuest in Big Brother to be evicted. He is also the first male to be evicted.
  • Jean Jordan is the first female HouseGuest to be evicted.
  • Technically, due to the way Big Brother 1 worked, they were "banished" rather than "evicted."
  • Sheryl Braxton and Mike "Boogie" Malin are the first male and females to be actually evicted rather than banished.
• Eddie McGee became the first winner of Big Brother. He was thus the first male winner as well. Due to the way Big Brother 1 worked, he was the first winner to be voted by America as the winner. Eddie is also the first and only player whom was an amputee.
  • Lisa Donahue became the first female winner.
  • Lisa is the first and currently only winner to win with 9 votes.
• Curtis Kin is the first 3rd placer to have also been a finalist, as from Big Brother 2 onwards (excluding Big Brother: Over the Top), the finalists were the Final 2.
• Will Kirby became the first winner of Big Brother to win by the votes from the Jury, as well as the first male.
• Shannon Dragoo and Bunky Miller are the first Jurors who had their Jury votes cancelled.
• Sheryl Braxton is the first Juror.
  • Dana Varela is the first sequestered Juror.
  • Mike "Boogie" Malin is the first male Juror.
  • Nathan Marlow is the first sequestered male Juror.
• Big Brother 2 is the first season to have a Head of Household Competition.
  • Mike "Boogie" Malin is the first HoH winner.
• Big Brother 3 is the first season to have a Power of Veto Competition.
  • Gerry Lancaster is the first PoV winner. He thus the first Silver PoV winner as well.
  • Marcellas Reynolds is the first Golden PoV winner.
  • Alison Irwin is the first Diamond PoV winner.
• Danielle Reyes was the first HouseGuest to make it to the Final 2 without being nominated by a Head of Household. She is also the first non-Caucasian-American HouseGuest to make it to the Final 2.
• Nicole Franzel is the first female to defeat a male in a final two.
  • Paul Abrahamian is the first male to lose to a female in the final two.
• Jun Song is the first and currently only Asian-American HouseGuest to win Big Brother.
• Ivette Corredero is the first Hispanic-American HouseGuest to make it to the Final 2.
• Justin Sebik is the first HouseGuest to be expelled from Big Brother. He is also the first male.
  • Chima Simone is the first and only female to be expelled.
• Neil Garcia is the first HouseGuest to walk from/quit Big Brother. He is also the first male.
• Allison Nichols is the first HouseGuest to face a medical emergency. Amanda Hansen faced a medical emergency the same day while Alison was still being checked on.
• Dan Gheesling is the first and only winner to win by a unanimous vote by the jury.
• Big Brother 18 is the first and the only season to have the top three vote-getters all be minorities (James is Korean, Natalie is Venezuelan and Victor is Puerto Rican).
• Aaryn Gries is the first houseguest to be booed by the live studio audience.
  • She would later be followed by Amanda Zuckerman and Christine Brecht.
• In regards to African-Americans winning HoH and PoV in the same week, Devin Shepherd and Danielle Lickey are the only two to have done so, being the first male and female respectively.

Canada

• Ramsey Aburaneh is the first, and so far only, HouseGuest to walk from Big Brother Canada.
• Suzette Amaya is the first Head of Household winner.
• Tom Plant is the first Power of Veto winner.
• This series is the first to feature HouseGuests from different Big Brother series across the world competing with the regular HouseGuests.
  • Those HouseGuests being Tim Dormer from Big Brother Australia 2013 and Nikki Grahame from Big Brother UK 2006 and Ultimate Big Brother.
• During Big Brother Canada 1, Topaz Brady "accidentally" voted for Jillian MacLaughlin rather than Gary Levy to win. This is the first time ever that a Juror voted the wrong way and attempted to switch their vote.

Philippines

• Rico Barrera is the first ever evictee of Pinoy Big Brother.
• Bob dela Cruz is the first to be ejected from the Big Brother house.
• Jenny Suico is the first housemate to walk out of the house and also the first and only housemate to return after walking out.
• Nene Tamayo is the first ever winner and the first female to win Pinoy Big Brother.
• Uma Khouny is the first ever Muslim to enter the house.
• Keanna Reeves is the first celebrity to win and the second consecutive female to win Pinoy Big Brother.
• Kim Chui is the first teen housemate to win and the third consecutive female to win Pinoy Big Brother.
• Ruben Gonzaga is the first ever male celebrity and first in overall to win.
• Pinoy Big Brother 2 is the first and only season (internationally perhaps) to implement a weight management rule inside the house
• Bruce Quebral is the first Filipino housemate to be swapped to a foreign Big Brother through the Big Brother Swap. He was swapped to Slovenian housemate, Tina.
• Wendy Valdez is the first ever housemate to be booed by the public during the finale night.
• Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus is the first and only teen season to have the teens' guardian/parent live inside the house in an adjacent next-door house and compete as well for their own prize.
• Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up is the first ever season to feature to equally furnished houses with two sets of housemates.
• Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010 has the highest number of forced ejections with the total of 5 forced evictions and the highest number of rule violations in the history of Pinoy Big Brother.
• Pinoy Big Brother: Unlimited so far is the longest season of the Pinoy Big Brother series, running for 155 days.
• Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4 had the fastest house renovation in the history of the Philippine series.
• Pinoy Big Brother: 737 is the first season to produce two winners, one from Teen Edition and one from Civilian Edition.
• Ailah Antopina is the first female Muslim teen to enter the house as well as the first housemate to wear a hijab inside the house.
• Rita Gaviola is the first ever Indigenous Filipino to enter the house. She is a Badjao.

International

• Big Brother 2 was the first season internationally to feature a different format, based on winning competitions.

Overall Firsts

• Pinoy Big Brother: All In is the first ever season in the history of Big Brother worldwide to feature all types of housemates living inside one house, the regular civilians, the celebrities and the teens.
• Pinoy Big Brother is the first and only Big Brother to adapt a Teen Edition after Big Brother UK created Teen Big Brother. However, the Teen Edition format is similar to the original format but stricter house rules are given specially for the teenagers to prevent any controversy like the British spin-off.
