Batch 3 is the third batch to air in Pinoy Big Brother: Otso.

Background

It aired throughout the summer season in the Philippines, from March 31, 2019 to May 26, 2019, lasting 8 weeks. This batch became notable for its Big Island Adventure wherein the Star Dreamers stayed for a week in an island before the first housemate selection. It later became known in the season for the closure of the Camp Star Hunt, its double and triple evictions, and the Golden Circle Challenges that became the main gameplay of the batch.

Ashley Del Mundo, Batit Espiritu, Tan Roncal, and Yen Quirante emerged as the Batch Big Four, with Ashley being declared as the Batch Winner by having a landslide victory with a total percentage of 63.38%. They later returned to compete in the Ultim8 Batch, representing Batch 3.

Batch 3 is represented via Team TBAY in the Ultim8 Batch, with red as their batch color, and #BatchUltimate3hreat as their official batch codename.

Batch 3 Twists

• Big Island Adventure: As Batch 3 began at the start of the summer season in the Philippines, the batch started with the 16 Star Dreamers staying in an actual island located at the Hundred Islands in Pangasinan for a week. Two camps (one for boys, one for girls) were occupied to determine the batch's first eight official housemates.

• The Gr8 C (The Great Cross-Over): A game-changing twist that happened on the first cross-over selection, Emjay Savilla, Gwen Apuli, Shami Baltazar, and Jem Macatuno were all selected to cross-over instead of the usual one Star Dreamer. In a few days, the four were followed by the last remaining Star Dreamers Ashley Del Mundo, Batit Espiritu, Lance Carr, and Narcy Esguerra to be official housemates, eventually closing the Camp Star Hunt.

• The Golden Circles: On Day 22, 8 empty Golden Circles were placed in the house. Every week until the final 8, the housemates except the first three nominees must compete in the Golden Circle Challenge in order to place their portraits on one of the golden circles. Each of the golden circles symbolizes safety and housemates who failed to place their portraits would join the house's nominees for eviction.
  • Golden Circle Challenge:is a nomination competition played by the housemates every week in order to stay safe. The housemates who failed to win any challenge would be automatically nominated for eviction.

• Face to Face Nominations: On Day 37, the house nominations were done face-to-face. However, instead of the usual 3 points - 2 points system, the housemates would choose only one housemate vote for.
  • The Black Circle: Opposite to the Golden Circle, the house's nominee from the face to face nominations would get the black circle. Mich Wunder eventually got the Black Circle on Week 6.

• Multiple Evictions: With the house on its fullest with 16 housemates, the usual single evictions were replaced by double and triple evictions throughout Batch 3.
  • Triple Eviction: On Week 5, three housemates were evicted on the same week while on Week 6, one housemate was ejected and two housemates were evicted on the same night. This is the first and only batch to have a triple eviction.

• Pinoy Big Bakbakan: For the batch's fourth and fifth weekly tasks, the housemates faced Batch 2 Big Four and Batch 1 Big Four respectively in a series of challenges to win their weekly task.
