The season was initially titled Pinoy Big Brother: 10 as it coincides with the 10th year since the first airing of the franchise, but they later dropped the idea as it might confuse the viewers thinking this season is the 10th season when it's the 6th civilian season of the show. This season was then named 737, inspired by a combination lock, while the 10th season would eventually become Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10.

Season Twists[]

737[]

  • 7-Week Teen Edition - The teen housemates would stay in the house for seven weeks.
  • 3 Celebrity Guests - Throughout the series, three celebrities would enter the house as guests and would live inside for a certain number of days. Enchong Dee stayed in the house throughout the first part while Karla Estrada stayed for three days during the second part. Mariel Rodriguez returned to the show as a guest in the final week of the season.
  • 7-Week Fundraising for Charity- On August 21, 2015, during the special Pinoy Big Ball celebration, the season's civilian housemates and the past Big Winners would join forces to raise P3,000,000 in seven weeks, to build a community of 20 houses for 20 families as a tribute for the continuous successful ratings of the franchise.

Other Twists[]

  • Ligtask Challenge: Nominated housemates compete in one or more challenges, where the winner will be saved from facing the public vote.
  • Nomination Competition: Nominations are solely based on various series of challenges. The list of nominees will consist of housemates who failed various series of challenges. However, unlike the previous season, the safe housemate will be given the power to save one of the losing housemates from nomination in some nomination nights.
  • Various Nominations: Every nomination round sees new rules set by Big Brother.
  • Big Yanig (Big Tremor): A series of twists that affected the normal nomination and eviction processes. In addition, three new housemates and two ex-housemates went in.
  • Yanig Challengers: Part of the Big Yanig twist where previously evicted housemates return in the house. Only one of them will return as official housemate. This is considered a variant of the Back to the House Twist.
  • Cross-over Housemate: For the first time in the history of Pinoy Big Brother, this season saw a housemate crossing over to another edition.
  • Housemates' Vote To Save: Instead of facing the public vote, nominated housemates will face the non-nominated housemates' vote in terms of facing the eviction. The housemate with the lowest votes will be evicted.
  • Houseguests' Vote To Nominate: Houseguests will be given a power to nominate housemates for eviction.
  • S-E Voting System: For the third consecutive season, the public will be given the chance to vote for the housemate they want to save or evict. However, unlike the previous seasons, this was only implemented once in every chapter.
  • Power of One: The public may only vote once per mobile number.
  • Overnight Voting: In some eviction nights, people will only be given 24 hours to vote for the nominee they wanted to save.
  • The Big Tablet: During the Teen Chapter, Big Brother introduced the Big Tablet to the Teen Housemates. It's a giant tablet with 10 apps locked each app has a corresponding reward.

The House[]

Philippine Pop Culture

The facade of the house now extends to the previous facade of Pinoy Dream Academy next door but and for the first time, house's floor plan were changed.

The House Concept for this season is all about Pinoy Pop. Inspired by the mix of modern and classic Filipino Pop Culture, it was designed by J-Designs featuring the graphic illustrations by Rocketship Creative Design Lab.

The Living Room featured the different placards and signage of different routes of the most iconic mode of transportation in the country, the Jeepney which was also featured in the house as a pop up design.

The Dining and Kitchen Area was inspired by the Filipino fiesta and it features a replica of the iconic Sorbetes cart that served as the kitchen island. It also featured a Burger stand, a Fishball cart as a pop up wallpaper.

The Bedrooms were now larger than the three previous seasons. The Boys' Bedroom design featured large bottle caps or tansans with some Filipino words of courtesy and wise phrases inscribed in those tansans. The Girls' Bedroom featured large abaniko fans, which were part of the accessories of a classic Filipino women and it shows femininity. The confession room featured graphic tile patterns and traditional Capiz windows. The chair looks like a remnant of a calesa.

The garden still retained the large infinity swimming pool that dominated the whole area. The activity area also remained featuring different traditional Filipino games as murals.

On Day 2, the second batch of housemates were introduced via ASAP 20. Enchong Dee was also introduced as a new host; and as one of the show's traditions with its hosts, Enchong had to stay inside the house. On the same day, Enchong was tasked to deliver a box, filled with things from the housemates' parents, without being noticed by them; he was successful. Afterwards, the housemates were called for an activity in the pool area, where they had to transfer 11 boxes using a big plane and ropes without getting wet; they were able to transfer 10 boxes. On that night, Bailey was called to the confession room for several violations. Right afterwards, all the remaining boys along with Barbie were called to the confession room for not wearing their lapel microphones.

On Day 3, Bailey was punished to become a human speaker box and to remain as is until Big Brother had told him otherwise. On Day 4, the housemates were given their weekly task wherein they had to create a group performance showing their individual talents within 7 minutes and 37 seconds.

Barbie got the highest points, followed by Bailey and then Kamille. The three nominees head on to the activity area to face their first ever Ligtask Challenge. The nominated housemates had to shoot several balls in nets marked as 7-3-7 which were placed in a slippery inclined plane. A ball shot at 7 containers indicated that housemate gained 7 points, while at the 3 container indicates 3 points. The housemate who had garnered most points within two minutes will be saved from eviction. Kamille Filoteo eventually won the Ligtask by collecting 70 points, thus removing herself from the final set of nominees and leaving Barbie or Bailey to face eviction.

On Day 10, the housemates were given their second weekly task wherein they were required to form a design that makes the numbers 737 visible out of popsicle stick pops. Zonia was appointed to be the leader of the task.

On Day 14, the first ever live eviction of the season took place. Barbie Imperial was evicted from the house after garnering the least number of votes against Bailey May.

On the same day, the 2nd Nomination Night took place and the second set of nominees were revealed. The week's set of nominees were Ailah Antopina, Bailey May, Ryan Bacalla, Ylona Garcia and Zonia Mejia. The five nominees competed for the Ligtask Challenge. For this week's Ligtask, the nominated housemates had to slingshot other housemates placed in movable carts onto an archery-like board. The board has a three-point system tier: the inner circle (3 points), middle circle (2 points) and the outer circle (1 point). Each of them are given three tries in order to accumulate the highest number of points. Big Brother also added that if ever two housemates had tied, none will be saved and all would face eviction. Ylona and Ailah eventually both accumulated 2 points and had a tied score, therefore all of the nominees were still up for eviction.

On Day 20, they performed their weekly task "OKA YONIP" were in they performed the reversed play of the song "Pinoy Ako". They were successful, thus receiving grocery budget for the week. On Day 22, the 3rd Nomination Night occured with a twist. For the nomination night, the Positive Nomination process was used, in which the housemates must nominate for who they think must stay inside the house. The housemates who got the Top 3 lowest points will be nominees. It's not only that, but Big Brother revealed they must nominate face-to-face and they must put a medal; one with 2 points and one with 1 point, for the housemate they would nominate.

Franco Rodriguez, Jimboy Martin, Kenzo Gutierrez and Kyle Secades were the to 4 highest pointers, thus being saved in the possible eviction. On the other hand, Bailey May, Kamille Filoteo, Ryan Bacalla, Ylona Garcia and Zonia Mejia received the top 3 lowest scores and were up for eviction. The nominees then head on to compete in Ligtask where in the nominated housemates had to put foam "money" (50, 100, 500 and 1000) as much as possible into a giant piggy bank. The higher the amount, the harder it is to put into the giant piggy bank. Each of them are only given one minute to do it. Bailey managed to put a value of 1,100 in the piggy bank, erasing him from the final set of nominees and leaving Kamille, Ryan, Ylona and Zonia as the nominees for the week.

On Day 24, their 4th Weekly Task was given, but unlike the ordinary, it was given in secret. Their secret weekly task was given to Ylona and Bailey who had English as their first language. For their task they must write and learn 500 Tagalog words words in a giant dictionary, talk about their drawing, translate English words to Tagalog words, and complete reciting the Philippine Pledge of Allegiance. They successfully passed their secret weekly task, giving the house a weekly budget for their groceries.

On Day 25, the Housemates were divided into three teams for their special nominations challenge called Pinasaya Challenge. They would compete in three rounds and the team who won the most will be safe for the next week while the losing teams would face eviction next week. The Red Team, consisting of Jimboy Martin,Franco Rodriguez and Zonia Mejia won the competition, making them safe for next week's eviction. As part of their reward, they would be able to save one housemate from the losing team and they picked Bailey May.

On Day 28, the 3rd Eviction night took place. Ryan Bacalla was evicted from the house after garnering the least number of votes against Kamille, Ylona and Zonia.

Kyle eventually won the ligtask which removed himself from the set of nominees and leaving two of his closest friend Kamille and Kenzo as well as Ylona facing eviction. However, despite being safe from eviction, Kyle felt uncomfortable and worrisome throughout the week

On Day 30, the housemates were given their fifth weekly task. They were grouped into two groups: the "Dream Team" composed of Kyle Secades, Ylona Garcia, Bailey May and Franco Rodriguez, and the "Pinoy Big Brothers & Sisters" composed of Jimboy Martin, Kenzo Gutierrez, Kamille Filoteo and Zonia Mejia. All of them were required to make 7 production numbers. Each of the 7 numbers must trend on Twitter for them to win the task; however, each group must still outperform one another in order wherein the winning group will win immunity for the next week's nomination. On several days during the week, Your Face Sounds Familiar 1 celebrity contestants, Nyoy Volante (while impersonating as Ariana Grande) and Jolina Magdangal as well as actor and dancer Enrique Gil entered the house to mentor the housemates for their upcoming concert. On Day 33, Kyle decided to make a voluntary exit despite winning the Ligtask challenge.

On Day 35, the two groups performed their 7 numbers for their Big-Ating Concert. The concert was attended by several ex-housemates from the franchise's three editions. After the housemates had performed their concert, Kyle had revealed to the other housemates that he had decided to make a voluntary exit and that the upcoming eviction would be cancelled. Kyle left the house on Day 36. On the same day, the result of the challenge for the two groups were revealed. It was announced that the "Dream Team" won the challenge, thus they are safe from the nominations for next week. The team also received a hundred thousand pesos which they will give to their chosen charity, the Bantay Bata 163. On the other hand, the members of "Pinoy Big Brothers & Sisters" were automatically nominated. After the announcements of the nominees, the Ligtask challenge followed. At the end of the process, Franco Rodriguez, Kenzo Gutierrez, Kamille Filoteo, and Ylona Garcia were up for eviction, but Kenzo won the Ligtask challenge, leaving Franco, Kamille, and Ylona to face the public vote. It was announced that the eviction will take place on Day 47.

On Day 44, Big Brother instructed the housemates to sort their personal stuff and put it in the boxes: "Akin" (Mine) – these things will be kept by the housemates, "Alay" (Give) – these will be given to people in need, and "Ayaw" (Do Not Want) – these will be thrown away as of Big Brother's discretion.

After packing, they were instructed to stay in the bedroom as the ninjas take away more furniture from the House. Big Brother gave them a challenge to live without basic necessities at hand. They have to fish these items, that were scattered throughout the garden area, from behind a barricaded fence. The bedrooms became off limits as well.

Come night time, Enchong was instructed to host a fake Big Night event. Bailey and Ylona were removed from the roster, making Franco, Jimboy, Kenzo, and Kamille as "finalists." Eventually, Franco was named the "winner"; Jimboy, Kamille, and Kenzo came in second, third, and fourth place, respectively. With this in mind, Bailey and Ylona were moved to the garden area, where they'll be living separately from the other housemates. On Day 45, both groups were given a buzzer. If the four "finalists" think they deserve to stay, they must press the buzzer; in turn, Bailey and Ylona will be "evicted". If Bailey and Ylona think they deserve to stay, they must press the buzzer; in turn, they must pick two from the "finalists" who should be "evicted", in place of them. Bailey and Ylona buzzed first, and they chose Kenzo and Kamille to be "evicted."

On Day 47, Kamille Filoteo was evicted from the house after garnering the least number of votes against Franco Rodriguez and Ylona Garcia. On Day 48, Bailey May, together with a street child, celebrated his birthday with the housemates inside the Big Brother House.

Krizia Lusuegro and Richard Juan were appointed as leaders for their respective groups. Krizia's groupmates were Charlhone Petro, Jyo Yokoyama, Mikee Agustin, Roger Lucero. On the other hand, Richard's groupmates consisted of Dawn Chang, Miho Nishida, Margo Midwinter, Philip Lampart. For their task, the two groups must successfully manage their restaurants from the menu to their profits. Krizia's team was named "P na P: Pinoy na Pinoy (Promise na Promise) Restaurant" while Richard's team was named "Team Beach Club". The two groups must earn in a net total of P50,000 to win the weekly task. Their success will help them raise money to reach the P3,000,000 target charity fund.

On Day 74 and Day 75, The 737 teen housemates as well as Pinoy Big Brother's first two Big Winners, Season 1's Nene Tamayo and Celebrity Edition 1's Keanna Reeves, became servers for the restaurant. The house's Activity Area was opened to the public as a restaurant and hundreds of visitors came in.

Unbeknownst to the housemates, the weekly task was part of the "Big Yanig" (lit. Big Tremor) twist and the team with the most profit earned will be saved from the next nomination while the losing team will be automatically nominated for next week's ligtask and eviction.

On Day 76, through flipping a coin, Jyo Yokoyama opted for a voluntary exit. He informed the boys of his leaving. The boys must help him pack and leave without the girls noticing. He left the House the following day. Despite Jyo's voluntary exit, voting for the remaining nominees, Dawn, Margo, and Philip, continued.

On Day 78, the nomination happened during the morning due to the new twist, Big Yanig. Housemates won the weekly task with the net total amount of P93,385.25, which was earned from the two-day Food Fest, thus winning in their 3rd weekly task. Dawn Chang, Margo Midwinter, Miho Nishida and Richard Juan earned P47,491 while Charlhone Petro, Krizia Lusuegro, Mikee Agustin and Roger Lucero earned P45,894.25, saving Dawn, Margo, Miho and Richard from nomination while putting Charlhone, Krizia, Mikee and Roger up for eviction.

Because of the new twist, Charlhone, Krizia, Mikee and Roger will face the Ligtask challenge as a group. If Charlhone, Krizia, Mikee and Roger win, only one of them will be evicted; however if they fail the task, only one of them will be saved from eviction at the end of the week.

They were originally given 73 minutes and 7 seconds to win the challenge, but Big Brother gave the safe housemates a task to lengthen the given time by forming a circle and each fusing half of a cylinder, containing two balls, on both hands. The timer stops at the last pair breaking the fusion. 56 minutes and 29 seconds were added, with a total of 129 minutes and 34 seconds to win the task. They failed at accomplishing the task, leaving three of them in huge danger for getting evicted. On the same day, the safe housemates were asked to pick one housemate who they want to save. The nominees' fate would rely on the safe housemates.

On Day 79, the eviction process began and one by one, the safe housemates were tasked to put on the Ligtas medallion on their chosen housemate. Roger received the most votes with two medallions, leaving Charlhone, Krizia, and Mikee, with one medallion, to be evicted from the House immediately. On Day 80, new housemate, Zeus Collins entered the House as a dancing statue. On Day 81, another new housemate, Jameson Blake entered the House.

On Day 84, ex-housemates Mikee Agustin, a wild-card housemate who got evicted just days prior, and Kamille Filoteo, a cross-over housemate from 737's Teen Edition, were asked by Big Brother to re-enter the house but only one of them will get a chance to compete as a regular housemate, with their fate to be decided through public voting.

Whoever had the highest votes will be able to go back to the main house and become a housemate again while the other one has to leave. After an overnight voting, Mikee Agustin received managed to return back to the house after defeating Kamille Filoteo. The housemates were told to welcome the returning housemate with a garden party. Mikee then entered the house through inside a big box that arrived at the garden. The housemates were clueless who won the public voting until Mikee jumped out of the big box. His fellow housemates, especially the females had "tears of joy" seeing her return to the house.

On Day 87, Big Brother gave them a weekly task to make the housemates feel the problems of traffic in the metropolitan cities these days. Called as The Big Christmas Rush, The Housemates must do a given challenge while Big Brother's accomplices deliver the housemates' gifts to their loved ones. They must do these tasks continuously until their gifts have reached their intended destination. To pass, they must successfully deliver seven out of nine gifts. They successfully completed the task.
