+ | Paul later returned for Big Brother 19 and changed his gameplay completely. Instead of focusing on competitions, Paul had turned his attention to being more skilled at being manipulative. When they entered the house Week 1 after Kevin Schlehuber took the $25,000 temptation, they were given immunity and was tasked with giving others friendship bracelets, protecting them from being evicted. Paul used this chance to gain some allies and had originally wanted to work with Cody Nickson's alliance of showmances. After being nominated by Cody in an attempt to backdoor them, their Pendant of Protection saved them for three weeks, which they also used to their advantage. Paul played a very strategic and aggresive game, controlling and manipulating his allies, and being responsible for almost all the nominations and evictions. They dominated in competitons; winning 3 HoH's and 5 PoV's, tying Janelle Pierzina and Danielle Donato for winning the most PoV's in a single season. They managed not to touch the block until the final 3 where they were put on the block by default after failing to win the final HoH, which was won by their ally Josh Martinez. When Josh won the final HoH, he brought Paul to the final 2, being seen as easier to beat over Christmas Abbott, making him the second houseguest in Big Brother history after Dan Gheesling to make it to the final 2 twice. However, Paul was criticized for unnecessarily backstabbing his allies, overplaying the game, needlessly bullying the other houseguests, and not owning his game during the jury Q&A. All this cost them the win once again, as they lost to Josh by a 5-4 vote, becoming the runner-up for the second time in a row. |
Along with Danielle Reyes and Dan, Paul is considered to be another victim of a bitter jury; despite what majority of viewers perceived as a stronger game than the actual winner. |

Paul Raffi Abrahamian was the runner-up of both Big Brother 18 (US) and Big Brother 19 (US).
In Big Brother 18, Paul was initially very vocal about getting the returning players out, forming an alliance to go against them. However, after his ally, Jozea, was blindsided, they started building trust with the other HouseGuests and began working with the returning players. Victor Arroyo; another ally of Paul was evicted in week 2. They then formed an alliance with Paulie. Paul and Paulie worked together until Paul realized that it was best to evict him. Once Victor returned to the game, he and Paul created the Sitting Ducks alliance. The two friends fought together until they were both nominated Week 12. Paul managed to survive eviction while Victor was evicted. Paul was considered a very aggressive player, being unafraid to make big moves, willing to confront others, and having a hand in numerous evictions. Paul was known for being able to talk his way out of many situations and for playing a great social and strategic game. However, they received criticism for insulting other HouseGuests, making many jury members lose their respect for his gameplay.
They were a competition threat, winning 3 HoHs and 3 PoVs, thus making him the seventh male HouseGuest to win six competitions in a season. After Victor's eviction, Paul managed to win the last 2 HoHs and final PoV. After winning the final HOH, they infamously chose to evict James and take Nicole to the Final Two. However, this move was fatal as Nicole won the game by a vote of 5 to 4, thus leaving Paul as the runner-up.
Their decision to evict James has been deemed a huge mistake by the viewers and some of the jurors because they could have easily won against James.
Paul later returned for Big Brother 19 and changed his gameplay completely.
Paul has won the most competitions in Big Brother history with 14 wins over his two seasons. Due to this and making final 2 twice, Paul has been seen as one of the greatest players in recent years, comparing him to Big Brother legends Derrick Levasseur and Vanessa Rousso.

Day 84 |
- In Week 5, the Temptation Nominee was Vetoed and not replaced, so Paul's HOH ended with two nominees after starting with three.
- Week 5 ended with a twist called "Halting Hex," thus undoing Paul's nominations.
Post Big Brother
- Paul returned to Big Brother: Over The Top to host the Head of Household competition Perfect ShOTT.
- Paul competed on the Big Brother team on the CBS gameshow Candy Crush that aired on July 7, 2017.[1] with his teammate and fellow BB18 housegeust Da'Vonne Rogers and Big Brother 16 houseguests Frankie Grande and Caleb Reynolds. They were competing against Jeremy Collins, Woo Hwang, Joe Anglim, and Kelley Wentworth.
- The episode was filmed on May 24, 2017, before season 19 began, in which why Paul competed on both on the same airdate angering online casual fans.
- Paul returned to cameo in a musical number in the premiere HOH competition of Celebrity Big Brother 1 alongside former houseguests Jodi Rollins, Rachel Reilly, Cody Nickson, Jessica Graf, and Jessie Godderz.[2]
- Paul attended the premiere of Big Brother 20.[3]
- They returned for Big Brother 20 (US) along with Derrick Levasseur, Josh Martinez, Britney Haynes, Daniele Donato and Dominic Briones (offscreen) to celebrate Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo's, engagement.
- On September 24, 2020, they announced that they had changed their pronouns from "he/him/his" to "they/them/theirs".[4]
Trivia
- Paul is the first person in Big Brother 18 to be vetoed twice in a row (Weeks 1 and 2). They won the Power of Veto and used it on themself in Week 1. In Week 2, Paulie used the Veto on them.
- He is one of five HouseGuests, with the others being Nicole Nilson Schaffrich, Porsche Briggs, Steve Moses, and Jason Roy, to be nominated in the first week and reach the Final 2.
- He did this twice.
- Paul is the second HouseGuest to be nominated every week in the first three weeks. The other HouseGuest is John McGuire from Big Brother 17.
- Paul is the third HouseGuest to win the POV twice in Big Brother 18, following Paulie Calafiore and Corey Brooks (and later Nicole Franzel) respectively.
- Paul is the seventh HouseGuest in the history of Big Brother to have the Power of Veto used on him three times. The other HouseGuests were Alison Irwin (Season 4), James Rhine (Season 6), Janelle Pierzina (Season 7), Jen Johnson (Season 8), McCrae Olson (Season 15), and John McGuire (Season 17), respectively. They were followed by fellow (Season 19) HouseGuest Jason Dent.
- Coincidentally, they is the second HouseGuest (and the first male), after Alison, to have the Veto used on him three times and make the Final Two.
- Ironically, they both became the runners-up of their seasons.
- Paul is tied with Erika Landin from Big Brother All-Stars for the record for the most nominations in a season by a member of the Final Two with six.
- Paul won the most competitions for a houseguest in Big Brother 18, having won six competitions.
- Paul was the most nominated houseguest in Big Brother 18 with a total of six nominations.
- Paul was the second HouseGuest to win HOH three times in Big Brother 18, following Victor.
- Paul was the sixth HouseGuest in Big Brother 18 to win Head of Household and the Power of Veto within the same week. Paulie, Bridgette, Corey, Victor, and Nicole accomplished this as well.
- Paul is tied with Paulie and Corey for the most PoV competitions won in Big Brother 18, with 3 wins each.
- Paul is the sixth person in the history of the show to win at least 3 HoHs and 3 PoVs in a single season, and they have done it twice.
- The other houseguests are Janelle Pierzina, Frank Eudy, Frankie Grande, Cody Calafiore, and Vanessa Rousso respectively.
- Paul is also tied with Frank Eudy, Shane Meaney, Ian Terry, Frankie Grande, Cody Calafiore, and Steve Moses for the second most competitions won by a male in a single season (6).
- He then beat that record his second time around, as they won 8 competitions on Big Brother 19.
- Every time a female won HoH in Big Brother 18, Paul was nominated.
- Likewise, every time Paul was HoH, they always nominated at least one female when possible. (During their HoH reigns on Days 90 & 99, only one female was left in the house, meaning they were forced to nominate one male each time.)
- They are one of nine final HOHs who didn't end up winning the game. The other eight are Nicole Schaffrich, Alison Irwin, Ivette Corredero, Ryan Quicksall, Cody Calafiore, Gary Levy, Godfrey Mangwiza, and Kelsey Faith.
- Paul is the first male to lose to a female in the Final Two in the American version. From that point, every US season (BBOTT and Celebrity seasons included) with a male-female final two after that has ended with the male losing against the female, up until Big Brother 21 (US).
- Paul holds the record for the most votes to win for a runner-up with four (twice).
- If Paul had voted to evict Nicole instead of James, they would've received votes from every jury member except Natalie and Michelle.
- If the Jury would have been the original seven person Jury in either of his seasons (thus removing Da'Vonne, Zakiyah, Cody, and Elena from their respective Juries) and the same votes took place, Paul would have won both Big Brother 18 and Big Brother 19 over Nicole and Josh in a 4–3 vote each.
- Paul is the first HouseGuest to participate in a Battle Back Competition without having been evicted before playing, as they were chosen to be the House Challenger, and if they had won, that would have prevented the Battle Back Champion from re-entering.
- Ironically, their biggest ally won the Battle Back on their first season, while their biggest enemy won it on their second.
- Paul is the first HouseGuest in Big Brother 19 to win HoH and PoV in the same week.
- They are also the first HouseGuest to win HoH & the PoV twice in that season.
- Paul is the fourth houseguest to win HoH and PoV in the same week more than once, following Danielle Murphree, Andy Herren, & Frankie Grande.
- He is the second person, following Frankie, to win the second PoV before the final competition.
- Paul is the first person to win HOH & POV in the same week three times.
- Paul is one of ten HouseGuests that have played in back-to-back seasons (the others being Janelle Pierzina, Howie Gordon, James Rhine, Kaysar Ridha, Jessie Godderz, Brendon Villegas, Rachel Reilly, Da'Vonne Rogers, and James Huling).
- Paul was the last HouseGuest to have be put on the block during BB19, getting nominated by default for losing the Final HoH in Week 12, however they were nominated during Week 1, but technically was never on the block because of the Pendant of Protection.
- Paul is the first HouseGuest in the history of the show to win five competitions across two seasons.
- Paul has the third most time spent in the BBUS house at 191 days, second to Janelle Pierzina's 200 and Nicole Franzel's 201+ .
- Following Alex, Paul is the second person to win HOH on Big Brother 19 three times.
- Paul is the third HouseGuest to play Big Brother twice and not be evicted, following Dick Donato and Dan Gheesling. However, because Dick walked during Week 1 of Season 13 for personal reasons, Dan and Paul are currently the only Returning HouseGuests who have lasted throughout the entire game without being evicted.
- Paul is the second houseguest after Dan to exit the house on finale night twice.
- Paul is one of four people (Janelle Pierzina, Kaysar Ridha, and James Rhine) to receive the same placement two seasons in a row (2nd place).
- Paul is the first HouseGuest to make it to Final 2 twice and not win once. They are also the first HouseGuest to lose with the same amount of votes, as it was a 5-4 vote each time.
- Ironically, they were wearing the exact same outfit at both of their finales.
- Paul is tied with Janelle Pierzina, Daniele Donato and Kaycee Clark for most Power of Vetoes won in a single season, winning 5 PoVs during BB19.
- Paul shares the most Jury Votes in the US out of both of his seasons with Dan Gheesling, with both having a total of 8 Jury Votes, Dan having seven his first time and one his second, and Paul getting four votes both times.
- In single season stats, they lose this status to Lisa Donahue and Tamar Braxton, who each got 9 votes to win across one season.
