Monte Taylor is the runner-up of Big Brother 24 (US).
Monte started the game quietly and wasn't targeted much. He was able to solidify relationships among many of his housemates during the early game, including Joseph Abdin, Matt Turner and Pooch Pucciarelli. After joining the new dominant alliance The Leftovers, Monte was able to have a better position in that alliance as they were able to evict many outsiders throughout the game. After winning the Final Six Power of Veto competition, he was able to convince Head of Household and ally Turner to place very strong player Michael Bruner on the block so they could finally evict him, in which they were successful in doing so.
Monte was then able to have a string of both HoH and PoV competition wins until Finale Night when he as the Final HoH decided to take Taylor Hale to the Final Two over Turner, thinking that Turner's competition wins and evicting him was a greater look on his resume. This was his undoing as he misread Taylor's social relationships, persistence and underdog status, which the jury viewed as impressive. After Taylor gave a powerful speech encapsulating her journey throughout the season, the jury awarded her the win by a vote 8-1, with only Turner voting for Monte to win.
