Sydney makeup artist Marissa is ready to show Australia that age is just a number! The competition’s dark horse is no stranger to the spotlight.
Marissa and her twin sisters brought aerobics to Australia in the eighties, becoming household names as The Rancan Sisters, with daily morning TV appearances, celebrity clients and a cult following.
Still a fitness fanatic, Marissa is living proof that life doesn’t stop at 60. Energetic, self-motivated, kind and generous, Marissa believes the only weakness she has in life is not being able to do everything in one day. She wants to be an inspiration to everyone and show that with a little determination, you can achieve anything and have fun doing it.
Married to husband John for 31 years and with a long list of career and charitable achievements, Marissa is looking forward to challenging herself in the Big Brother house. She loves meeting new people and learning from them but says the Housemates should be careful not to lie to her – especially if they are in an alliance.
She can’t stand people who are untrustworthy or lazy. Marissa wants viewers and Housemates alike to know that underestimating her is a big mistake. She’s going to play the game hard and is in it to win it.
If she were to take out the prize, Marissa would take John on their first proper holiday in 15 years and donate to her favourite charities.[2]
