Retrieved and Translated from gshow.globo.com “Worse than cancellation is invisibility.” It is with this thought that Rio de Janeiro native Lucas Henrique shows what he came for and wants to make history at BBB 24. Born and raised in Complexo da Maré, a favela in Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Capoeira, as he is known, had to fight for his ideals from an early age. At the age of 14, he was already working repairing computers and, today, at 29, he is a Physical Education teacher, specialist in Ethnic-racial Relations and studying for a master's degree in Education. He chose the college course to be able to teach capoeira, which he has been practicing since he was 9 years old and has been teaching for 10 years. Now, he wants to enter the BBB and win the award to change his life and serve as an even greater inspiration for young people who have stories similar to his.
