La Casa de los Famosos Colombia 2 is the second season of La Casa de los Famosos Colombia.

Background

After the success of La Casa de los Famosos Colombia 1, Canal RCN announced on June 17, 2024 that a second season of the show would air.

Twists

• Prospective Contestants: The public was given the opportunity to choose some of the housemates that would enter the house. Each week, starting on November 3, 2024, six candidates were announced, and viewers voted for one of them to become an official contestant. This was repeated for six weeks.
• Spontaneous Nomination: Once a week (with the exception of Weeks 8, 9, and 13), one housemate can choose to upgrade their nomination power to 3 points and 2 points, instead of the usual 2 points and 1 point.
• Power of Veto: Similar to La Casa de los Famosos 4 (US) and La Casa de los Famosos Mexico 2, the housemates were able to steal the HOH's saving abilities. The housemates first competed against each other where the winner was eligible to compete against the HOH. The winner of this head-to-head competition was then able to save one of the nominees from eviction. This twist replaced the Salvation Competition.
• Freeze & Release: At various points in the season, when an alarm would ring, the housemates were required to stay frozen, as a contestant's loved one entered the house. The housemates are unable to move until instructed by The Boss to do so. If they move beforehand, they would receive a punishment.
  • On Day 7, Ornella Sierra entered the house.
  • On Day 16, Karen Sevillano and Marilyn Oquendo entered the house.
  • On Day 17, Lorena Altamirano, Flaco Solórzano's girlfriend, and Juan José Ramírez, Melissa Gate's son, entered the house.
  • On Day 18, Yana Karpova entered the house.
  • On Day 19, Esteban, Mauro Figueroa's cousin, and Daniel, Aleyda Gaviria's son, entered the house.
  • On Day 20, Dani Duke, Liendra Gómez's girlfriend, entered the house.
  • On Day 21, Leonela Calderón, Yina Calderón's sister, entered the house.

• Red Phone: Every time the Red Phone rings, the contestants have the option to answer it, where they would either receive a reward or a punishment.
  • On Day 12, Marlon Solórzano earned the power to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction.
  • On Day 25, the Red Phone rang sixteen different times. Each housemate eligible to nominate was required to answer the phone once, each receiving different consequences:
    • Gonzalo Escobar received immunity.
    • Lady Tabares was allowed to nominate in the Diary Room.
    • Melissa Gate earned the Extra Power of Veto and could nominate in the Diary Room.
    • Juan Lozano had to nominate Face to Face, giving out a 2-point and 1-point nomination.
    • Yaya Muñoz was allowed to nominate in the Diary Room.
    • Mateo Varela had to give immunity to another housemate and could nominate in the Diary Room.
    • Norma Nivia was allowed to cancel another housemate's nomination and could nominate in the Diary Room.
    • Emiro Navarro had to choose two housemates to participate in a Nomination Competition. The loser of the challenge was automatically nominated for eviction.
    • Karina García was allowed to nominate in the Diary Room.
    • Negro Salas had to nominate Face to Face, giving out a 3-point and 2-point nomination.
    • Yina Calderón was allowed to nominate in the Diary Room.
    • José Rodríguez was allowed to nominate in the Diary Room.
    • Camilo Trujillo lost the ability to nominate.
    • Flaco Solórzano was allowed to nominate in the Diary Room.
    • Yana Karpova had to nominate Face to Face, giving out a 2-point and 1-point nomination.
    • Valentina Ruiz had to nominate Face to Face, giving out a 6-point and 2-point nomination.
  • On Day 31, Camilo Trujillo received immunity.
  • On Day 33, Melissa Gate earned the Extra Power of Veto and the power to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction.
  • On Day 34, Karina García earned the power either to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction or to prevent a nominee from being vetoed.
  • On Day 45, Sebastián Arias earned the power to instantly nominate two housemates for eviction.
  • On Day 47, Lady Tabares earned the Extra Power of Veto. They were ineligible to use this power on themselves.
  • On Day 48, Cindy Ávila earned the Extra Power of Veto and the power to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction.
  • On Day 58, Yina Calderón received the news that all housemates were in jeopardy of elimination, with the exception of the HOH.
  • On Day 61, Emiro Navarro earned the Extra Power of Veto. They were ineligible to use this power on themselves.
  • On Day 74, the Red Phone rang eight different times. Each housemate eligible to nominate was required to answer the phone once, each receiving different consequences:
    • Karina García had to give out a 5-point and 3-point nomination.
    • Flaco Solórzano was allowed to cancel another housemate's nomination and also had to give out a 2-point and 1-point nomination.
    • Laura González had to give out a 3-point and 2-point nomination.
    • Lady Tabares had to give out a 2-point and 1-point nomination.
    • Camilo Trujillo had the power to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction.
    • Mateo Varela had to give immunity to another housemate and also had to give out a 2-point and 1-point nomination.
    • Emiro Navarro had to give out a 6-point and 3-point nomination.
    • Liendra Gómez lost the ability to nominate.
  • On Day 114, Mateo Varela learned that the phone would ring several times during the week.
  • From Days 115-116, the Red Phone rang seven different times. Each housemate eligible to nominate was required to answer the phone once, each receiving different consequences:
    • Mateo Varela had to give out a 4-point and 2-point nomination.
    • Emiro Navarro had to give out a 12-point and 6-point nomination.
    • Camilo Trujillo had to give out a 8-point and 4-point nomination.
    • Melissa Gate had to give out a 2-point and 1-point nomination.
    • Andrés Altafulla had to give out a 10-point and 5-point nomination.
    • Valentina Ruiz had to give out a 4-point and 2-point nomination.
    • Cindy Ávila had to give out a 8-point and 4-point nomination.
• Secret HOH: During Week 3, the HOH was invisible, meaning that none of the remaining housemates knew who the HOH was. Throughout the week, the contestants had to guess who the secret HOH was. If they successfully did so, the HOH would be dethroned and automatically nominated for eviction, while the player that correctly guessed the identity of the secret HOH would take the HOH title.
• Late Entries: Throughout the season, several housemates entered the game after the premiere.
  • Yana Karpova entered the house on Day 18.
  • Sebastián Arias entered the house on Day 40.
  • Laura González entered the house on Day 61.
  • Andrés Altafulla entered the house on Day 63.
• Hidden Power of Veto: On Day 18, a second Power of Veto was hidden in the house for the housemates to find. This power had to be used following the completion of the first POV competition.
• Envelope Nominations: During Week 5, nominations took place in groups. The 18 housemates were divided into 6 groups of 3. The one contestant without a group was automatically nominated for eviction and allowed to nominate individually. Each of the six groups was given an envelope, where one envelope gave a group the power to immunize one of their team members. Additionally, the 18 grouped contestants were required to nominate as a collective team.
• Face to Face Nominations: During Weeks 6, 10, 11, and 18, nominations occurred face-to-face. Additionally, a portion of the housemates nominated face-to-face during Weeks 7 and 17.
• Double Eviction: On Day 50, two housemates were evicted as opposed to the usual one.
• Public Power of Veto: During Week 8, the viewers had the power to veto one of the nominees, as opposed to having the ability to nominate two of them.
  • Public Immunity: During Week 9, the viewers had the power to give immunity to one of the housemates.
• Temptation Power of Veto: From Weeks 8-11, the housemates that purchased groceries had the option to buy an Extra Power of Veto using some of the shopping budget.
  • Shopping Nomination: During Week 12, one of the two contestants that went shopping was given the power to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction.
• Consensus Nominations: During Week 8, the housemates were randomly divided into pairs. On Day 53, each pair had to unanimously decide to nominate one member and to keep the other one safe from eviction.
• Backward Nominations: During Week 9, the housemates voted to save each other as opposed to nominating each other. The housemates that received the most points to save would be safe from elimination.
• Team Power of Veto: During Week 9, the benefit that the winning team earned in the Luxury Competition was a Team Power of Veto, where they collectively had the power to veto one of the nominees from eviction.
• Housemate Exchange: Melissa Gate swapped with Manelyk González from La Casa de los Famosos 5 (US) during Week 11 for 4 days.
• Apple of Temptations: During Week 13, each housemate had to choose an "apple of temptation," which granted them a special power during the nominations.
  • Andrés Altafulla was given an Extra Power of Veto, which he was allowed to use once before the end of the season. He was ineligible to use this power on himself.
  • Melissa Gate was given the power to instantly nominate one housemate for the rest of the season. She chose to nominate Andrés Altafulla.
  • Lady Tabares earned the power to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction. She nominated Norma Nivia.
  • Mateo Varela automatically advanced to the final round of the Power of Veto competition for this week.
  • Camilo Trujillo earned the power to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction. He nominated Lady Tabares.
  • Cindy Ávila was given the power to "resurrect" an evicted player, making them a full-fledged housemate. She chose Valentina Ruiz.
  • Flaco Solórzano was given the power to permanently ban one housemate from participating in nominations for the rest of the season. He chose Yina Calderón.
  • Norma Nivia did not receive a power.
  • Karina García earned the power to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction. She nominated Mateo Varela.
  • Yina Calderón earned the power cancel another housemate's nomination and to instantly nominate one housemate for eviction. She cancelled Camillo Trujillo's nomination of Lady Tabares and nominated Karina García as her replacement.
  • Emiro Navarro was given the power to instantly evict one housemate from the game. However, the public had to confirm this decision through a public vote. If the nominee received enough votes to stay, they would remain in the house. He chose Andrés Altafulla.
• Vote to Evict: During Week 15, the viewers voted to evict the nominees, as opposed to voting to save them.
