Kings is one of the four teams that are a part of the team twist introduced on Big Brother 23 (US). The team consisted of Alyssa Lopez, Christian Birkenberger, Sarah Beth Steagall, and Xavier Prather. The teams dissolved when team competition ended after week four.
Christian won the first competition of the season, apart of the live move in, becoming one of the four winners that later became Team Captains. He was the first member of Team Kings and selected three fellow houseguest (2 girls and 1 guy).
Rocky start (Week 1)
Team Kings lost the first HOH competition of the season, which resulted in the entire team being Have-Nots for the first week. In week 1, Christian won the new Wildcard Competition twist, which resulted him immunity from nominations for the week. As part of the new twist, Christian accepted safety for the week, after being led on that he is being considered a threat to others by Sarah Beth in a team meeting before the competition. Also both Alyssa and Sarah Beth in that same meeting, mentioned that the Head of Household (HOH), Frenchie came up to them about being safe from being nominated. After winning the Wildcard Competition, Christian accepted the safety for the week and which resulted him on deciding another houseguest to be immune from nominations. He chose Xavier, believing that since the ladies in team are allegedly save from the hearsay in the meeting earlier, that it would be in the best interest for the team to choose the remaining teammate for safety. During the nomination ceremony, Frenchie nominated Alyssa for eviction, due to her close ties to Christian (as Christian was the true intended target to evict from Frenchie). Alyssa is the first teammate from the team to be nominated. In the Power of Veto (POV) competition, Alyssa was the only one from the team to compete. She did not win the POV, nor was chosen to be taken off the block by the POV holder, Derek. Alyssa survived the first eviction of the season, by a vote of 11-2. All members of team Kings, voted in favor of keeping Alyssa in the house.
After the first week Sarah Beth, won the second Wildcard Competition, and had the ability to switch teams. She rejected the offer to continue her alignment to the team.
A selected teammate will compete in a new Wildcard Competition. That houseguest would compete for sole immunity, meaning that if they win, they will be given the option to take safety, while the rest of the team remains vulnerable for nomination and eviction. If the winner decides to accept safety for the week, it will result in a punishment that may affect them, their team, or the entire house.
