Kevin Robert Martin is the winner of Big Brother Canada 5. He previously competed on Big Brother Canada 3.

In Big Brother Canads 3, Kevin was most commonly known for his reserved and secretive gameplay where he was difficult to read and where his true intentions became ambiguous. This benefited him as many houseguests were prone to confiding in him big secrets and information that he would keep to himself, without offering back his own secrets. After winning POV in week 2 when he was the target, he was able to lay low for a couple weeks with the help of getting into a serious showmance with alliance member, Pilar. Despite his abilities, his membership with The Diaper Alliance made him a big target, and he was unable to escape eviction during the Triple Eviction. He finished in 9th place. While he was originally the fourth member of the jury, he became the third jury member after Jordan Parhar was evicted from the jury house by Sarah Hanlon.

In Big Brother Canada 5, Kevin was best known for his relationship with William Laprise Desbiens, bromance with Bruno Ielo, his rivalry with Demetres Giannitsos during the later stages, and his dominance in mental competitions. Kevin joined The Six alliance early on, and this alliance kept him safe until the jury phase. However, the alliance splintered once the jury phase began. In week 7, HoH Demetres made him the target, but he was spared when William used the Secret Power of Veto on him. After losing his core allies, Kevin was all alone and made the main target. However, he managed to win the remaining HOH's he was eligible to compete in and two must-win PoVs. His numerous competition wins, likability, ability to make it to the final two without allies and the jury's lack of respect for fellow finalist Karen Singbeil won him the game. He won in a unanimous 9-0 vote, thus making him the first Big Brother Canada winner and second overall winner to win in a unanimous vote and play a Perfect Game. Kevin managed to win several competitions, most of them in the latter part of the game. He won 3 HoHs and 4 PoVs thus making him the second Big Brother Canada HouseGuest to win seven competitions.

Describe yourself in three words:
Funky, fresh, and fabulous. I know my brand.

What have you been up to since being on your season of Big Brother Canada?
I have been working full time as a professional poker player. I got a major sponsorship with a poker company, I run a full time Twitch stream and I am coaching. I’m all over the poker world. It’s awesome. Big Brother Canada was a huge thing that got me going, and since then I’ve just kept building. Not to pat myself on the back but I’m very proud of the career I’ve got going on right now.

Is your strategy to win Big Brother Canada different going in for a second time?
Yes absolutely. I can recognize the mistakes I made the first time. I let my feelings get the better of me. I truly just fell in love when I was in the house. But being the strong physical player in a romantic pair is not a very good idea because when that pairing gets targeted you’ll always go first. The first time I played I thought having good social game was just getting along with everyone, but it turned out to be a little shallow. This time I want to get to know people deeper on a personal level.

If you could call one former houseguest from your season for advice, who would it be and why?
Oh my goodness! Could I get a couple phone calls? I mean the thing I want to focus on most is my social game. So I would call Sarah Hanlon. Her social game was so strong and so genuine in my season. She cut people and we all still loved her after.

What element of Big Brother Canada did you not have a chance to try before, that you’d like to experience this time around?
The end game! I went home 9th out from the end. The game changes so drastically in those final weeks, the decisions get so much more intense. I want to stick around all the way through to the end.

What perk within the game means the most to you: a letter from home, a luxury party, a season’s slop pass, or a vote from Canada?
A vote from Canada! Forget the letter from home. I mean, I care, I’m a softy, but a vote from Canada can be the real change-maker. In our format that is a huge element of how we play – in every season there’s been a massive shift caused by Canada’s vote. I need to be on the right side of that.

Which Big Brother Canada past competitor would you like to channel this season and why?
I’d put together a few. Sarah Hanlon’s (BBCAN3) social game obviously, Emmett’s (BBCAN1) physical and mental ability, and Neda’s (BBCAN2) strategic thinking. If you put that together it’s just an insane combo.

If you could travel into the future or the past which would you choose and why?
The future is way more exciting. We are on the edge of some major technological advances. I love the future and technology. I would love to know what that will be four generations in the future.

What do people from Calgary have that gives them an edge to win Big Brother Canada?
I mean, we’ve got a lot of grittiness. There’s been four seasons and no one from Western Canada has won. It bugs me – I really want to bring the title out West. People work hard in Alberta so maybe that’s how I’ll do it.
