Keanu Rey Soto was a houseguest on Big Brother 27 (US).

Becoming the season-long primary target due to his poor social game and hard-headedness, Keanu saved himself four times throughout Weeks 2 to 5 by winning three POVs and one Block Buster. Nevertheless, he lacked true allies apart from fellow pariah Kelley Jorgensen and "frenemy" returning player Rachel Reilly. Becoming the Week 8 HOH, Keanu briefly clashed with power duo Vince Panaro and Morgan Pope before evicting an outcast instead against Rachel's best interest. Surviving due to more competition wins, The Judges preferring to evict Kelley over him, and his overconfidence in Vince's loyalty to him, Keanu lost both HOH and POV at the final 5, and the pair of Morgan and Ashley Hollis evicted him for his physical threat level. He placed 5th and became the fifth jury member.

What’s your reaction to getting to play Big Brother? It feels great to be a houseguest on Big Brother. It’s been a long journey to get here, and I’m just happy that it’s finally here.

What has prepared you the most for Big Brother? I’ve been doing personal training for 15 years now. In that line of work, you do meet a variety of different folks. I believe that. And coupled up with my ability to do improv and things of that nature, I feel like, gives me the tools and the ability to, like I said, connect with a variety of folks. But the improv aspect of it gives me the ability to think quickly on my feet. And when things might not necessarily go the way that you envision them to, that’s a tremendous skill to have. And just ability to Dungeon Master as well, if you will. Being a Dungeon Master, you get to step into different roles, become different people. And I feel like being able to do that will provide me with a unique skill set that a lot of people don’t have or are not familiar with, and that will ultimately give me an edge.

Why do you want to compete on Big Brother? Honestly, I really just want to challenge myself. You know, I feel like a lot of people may look at it on TV and be like, “I could do that.” I don’t think people really realize what it takes. I realize what it takes, and I feel like I would do exceptionally well. So I really want to just challenge myself.

Why will you win Big Brother? I’m going to be the one to win, because I can tell you right now I want it more than everybody else. I know everybody’s going to say that, but man, I feel like I have a complete game. I have the social, the physical aspect of it, the mental aspect of it. I feel like I just have what it takes to win.

What are your biggest strengths? My strengths are my social my ability to connect with people, so my social game. And, like I said, I’m no slouch on the physical side of things either. And I believe that people underestimating or by looking at me and seeing that he’s probably a physical comp beast, they will underestimate my mental game as well. So I feel like that is a strength that will have going in.

What are your biggest weaknesses? I definitely I trust people way too easily. I like to think that I have a good read on people. But if I don’t, that’s definitely something that they could take advantage of. I definitely trust too easily.

Do you plan on keeping any secrets about yourself from the other houseguests? No. I mean, as far as profession and things like that, personal trainer, that’s a pretty common profession. The fact that I’m a super nerd or something like that, I don’t think necessarily that’ll be a detriment to know. If anything, it’ll make me more relatable to people. So no, I don’t, I don’t think I’ll withhold any information. I’ll gain my enemy’s trust. And this is Big Brother, so I it may not be normally in my character to betray that trust. But you got to do what you got to do to win $750,000, right?

What are you bringing to the show that nobody has seen before? I’ve seen quite a few seasons of the show now, and I don’t believe there’s ever quite been like someone who looks like it like me. That is quite as charismatic. I know Brett from Season 20, he was a pretty charismatic, built guy, but he’s definitely not nerdy like me. And I like to think of myself as a chameleon, a very well-rounded personality. So I feel like I have the ability to get along with a vast array of people in spite of what I look like.

What’s your strategy going into the game? Man, I really just want to focus on my strengths initially, which is just connecting with people. I feel like someone or a player that was very good at that in the two seasons that he was on was Enzo. I know he’s originally from Season 12. I can’t remember what the all-star season was, but he was in that one as well with Cody. And I feel like his social game and his ability to connect with people always take some far in the game. I feel like he just never quite built on the capital, I guess, that he was building, and never quite able to utilize that to his advantage. I feel like he’s just his strength was just his social game, whereas I feel like I bring a little bit more of a complete package as terms of physicality and things like that. So I feel like I would have a similar game plan, just being social, connecting with people, letting them know that I will fight for them, and, in that vein, well, they’ll probably end up fighting for me as well, and take each other to the end. And when it comes time to be one-on-one, that’s when I’m gonna I’m gonna pounce, and I’m gonna show my true ability, my true form, if you will.

What makes Big Brother such a successful show? From my personal experience, I love the strategy aspect of it, I feel like the nature of the game of building connections, and sometimes having to flip on those connections, and kind of really never knowing what’s going to happen. As they say, expect the unexpected. When you don’t know what to expect, it keeps you coming in for more, right? So I feel like Big Brother definitely has a good grasp on that, and that’s why it’s had such a long tenure.

Why will you be the player to watch this season? I’ll be the one to watch this summer, because, like I said, I have the capability physically to win comps. I know that’s always a fan favorite, from what I understand. My social game is going to be there, so I’m always going to be having game conversations not too early, because I know that people that play too hard at the beginning end up getting the boot. But yeah, I’m just going to be very involved in a lot of different aspects of the game. And I feel like I personally have the capability to be very low-key and slick about it without making it seem like I’m trying too hard to put a target on my back.

Would you be open to a showmance? I’m Team Nomance! I want to win $750,000. I don’t need an Achilles heel.

What will be your secret weapon in the house? My secret weapon, I believe, is my charisma. Like I said earlier, I feel like I have the ability to connect with people. So it’s a pretty unsuspecting thing coming from someone who looks like me.

What’s on your Big Brother Bucket List? Well, number one, win $750,000! Number two, I like that game where you throw the ball over the little hill 250 times. I feel like people look at that on the show, and they’re just like, “I could do that.” And I don’t think they realize how much that makes your legs burn doing a shuttle run 250 times. But I feel like that’s a competition that I’ve always wanted to try and win. Honestly, I’m really looking forward to the cop, like the cops. They just all seemed like super fun. So I’d say those are my big two: 750K and playing the comps.

What will be the easiest and hardest parts of being a houseguest? The hardest part about being a houseguest for me, personally, because I’ve always lived by myself, is going to be living with 15 other people, and also possibly having a way to use the restroom. That sounds horrible. Probably another hard thing would be being a Have-Not; I feel like that would probably be pretty difficult. The easiest part about being a houseguest – I don’t want to say it’s going to be easy. I feel like I personally will handle it easier than most of just being disconnected from the outside world. That actually sounds like a vacation to me.

What are some standout moments for you from the past 25 years of Big Brother? I want to say it’s Season 6 with Maggie and Kaysar. When he goes up, when she’s like, “Oh, you just sealed my fate in this game.” He’s like, “No, I just sealed your partner’s fate.” Badass line, that’s a badass line. Let’s see another one. Season 12, Rachel, “Floaters, grab your life vest!” That’s classic. When Derrick is talking to Beast Mode Cowboy, Caleb, and he boosts his ego up. And in the Diary Room, he’s like, “And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win $750,000.” I’m telling you, if I’m coming in here, I’m coming in here to win! [Laughs.][1]

  • Keanu competed on RHAP Reality Mafia: Holiday Edition on Rob Has a Podcast on December 16, 2025, alongside Will Williams, Hannah Chaddha and Michael Bruner. As a member of town, he was given the Investigator Power by the traitors for one round, which he investigated Michael and found out he's not a member of Mafia. Keanu made it to the end, but after the numbers of Mafia hit the same number of the townspeople, Keanu and Simone Chaddha lost and finished as the Runner-Ups of the season.
