Karen Bordador was a celebrity housemate on Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10.

Karen is a former radio DJ, model, event host, and reality show contestant who was dubbed "Miss Brightside of Makati" due to her bubbly and upbeat personality. She rose to prominence after being arrested in August 2016 as part of a buy-bust drug operation in Pasig City, where she and her boyfriend Emilio Lim were detained and charged with illegal drug possession and sale. Fortunately, both were acquitted and released five years later.^[1]

The final celebrity introduced on the first night of the Celebrity Edition of Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10, reflected on her life before, during, and after her arrest inside the house, as she was still freshly acquitted.

She was nominated during her third week after receiving 5 nomination points, along with KD Estrada and John Adajar. She was saved from eviction, however, because John received the lowest percentage of save-and-evict votes. Three weeks later, she was granted immunity after her team "Bigateam" defeated the other two groups on Pinoy Big Brother 2021. She was nominated for the second and final time a week later, on Week 7, as part of a double eviction with Alexa Ilacad, Samantha Bernardo, and TJ Valderrama. Unfortunately, she did not receive enough votes to finish second. On Day 51, she and TJ Valderrama were evicted in the edition's first double eviction. During her time at the house, she did not win any Head of Household challenges. She finished 12th on the edition and 41st overall in the season's three editions.

Karen rose to prominence during the season after reflecting on her arrest during the second week of the season, when Big Brother ordered all housemates to leave the house and stay in a jail-like facility in the activity area after all celebrity housemates admitted to breaking Big Brother's rules. They stayed for a few days, and the activity area resembled the room she was in during her arrest. This prompted Karen to consider her arrest. Karen also made headlines when she confronted TJ Valderrama on Day 47 following a disagreement over their weekly task. This elicited a positive response from netizens, who saw her as genuine and authentic inside the house.

Monster RX 93.1 DJ – Rico Robles invited her to do radio, she joined a competition in RX and won. She became an RX DJ for 5 years.
I Do – the reality TV show opened a wider audience, and it’s a great tipping point as she wanted to disassociate from her sexy image at this time in her career.

She made headlines in 2016 when she was detained/jailed due to drug possession. She was out of the spotlight for almost 5 years until she got acquitted recently in August 2021.^[2]

Post Big Brother[]

After her eviction, Karen joined the cast of hosts for PIE, an interactive entertainment channel in the Philippines, along with fellow celebrity housemates Samantha Bernardo and Eian Rances.
On May 27, 2022, Karen was the first Celebrity Star Patroller in TV Patrol since the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to the Celebrity Guest Star Patrollers in 2020.
On December 4, 2022, Karen appeared as a contestant on the second season of the game show Everybody, Sing! as one of the 50 players of MMK Letter Senders, along with Pinoy Big Brother: Connect housemate Ralph Malibunas.
