John Milz is the winner of Big Brother Germany 1.
Being friends with Alex Jolig, Kerstin Klinz and Manuela Schick, he narrowly escaped being nominated in Week 3 after three houseguest from the other group of a divided house nominated him. Due to ongoing chants, especially during the eviction of Zlatko Trpkovski, the housemates became aware of who was well liked and who was not by the audience. This was likewise one of the reasons John turned against his former allies Manuela and Kirsten which caused the biggest fight of the first season.
Despite all his former allies leaving the house within two weeks, he managed to remain popular both with his fellow-housemates as well as the audience which helped him to survive the last two eviction votes. Due to his charming and laid-back nature he managed to narrowly beat audience favorite Jürgen Milski making him the winner of the first Big Brother Season in Germany.

Post Big Brother[]
- From the cash prize, he bought a car for his girlfriend. It later became known that she cheated on him with a friend while he was in the house.
- He recorded a single with fellow-finalist Andrea Singh that peaked at number 40. Unlike other houseguests from the season, he had no intention of gaining more media fame and was forced to record the single due to contract obligations. It remained his only song recorded.
- He got married in 2008 and moved to North Rhine-Westphalia were he worked as a carpenter as well as a part-time DJ.[1] He also got a second child from this marriage.
