Jeff Schroeder was a houseguest on Big Brother 11, and later returned for Big Brother 13, partnered with Jordan Lloyd.

In Big Brother 11, Jeff was best known for his bond and showmance with Jordan, being the second person to hold, and the first to use the power of the Coup d'Etat, leading to the eviction of Jessie Godderz and arguably causing the meltdown and ejection of Chima Simone, and his alliance/rivalry with Russell Kairouz. In Week 8, Jeff was nominated by HOH Kevin Campbell and Kevin ultimately cast the tie-breaker vote against Jeff, thus sending him out of the game. He placed 5th and was the 4th member of the jury.

He returned in Big Brother 13 with Jordan. They joined The Veterans Alliance on the first night, but the coalition splintered after Dick Donato left. In Week 2, he aligned with Shelly Moore. In Week 7, Jeff was nominated by HOH Kalia Booker during the second round of the first Double Eviction. Shelly voted against Jeff thus making the vote a 2-2 tie, and Kalia then cast the tie-breaker vote on Jeff, sending Jeff out of the game. He finished in 7th place and was the third member of the jury.

He is currently the only houseguest to win America's Favorite Houseguest in two different seasons.

Big Brother 11

Jeff, this single advertising salesman, hopes one day to find his perfect mate, and is looking for someone who is fun, beautiful and looks great just hanging around the house. He wouldn't mind a "showmance" with one of his fellow Houseguests if she fits his criteria.

Jeff is a guy's guy who loves to be outdoors and play sports. He especially likes competitive football, which he played in college. To date, the accomplishment he is most proud of is playing running back for Benedictine University.

He describes himself as curious, adventurous, spontaneous, witty and outgoing. If he ran for office, he would like to be Mayor so he can be his own boss and, to some degree, get his own way. He lives by the motto "treat others as you'd like to be treated," and hopes others in the house will live by that too.

Jeff is ecstatic to be selected for BIG BROTHER but hopes not to do anything on television to embarrass himself or his family. He has a big heart, and he wants that to be the thing the audience notices most about him.

Jeff’s birth date is June 5, 1978. [1]

Jeff's Promo Photo for Daily Blast Live

  • Jeff competed on the sixteenth season of The Amazing Race with fellow houseguest, Jordan Lloyd and finished in 7th place.[3]
  • From Big Brother 14 to Big Brother 19, Jeff has hosted Big Brother Live Chat on CBS.com. It was later known as Big Brother After Show, and he had special guests each week. He would interview the new houseguests before they moved into the house, and then after the finale, he would interview them again and give them all gifts from the dollar store.
    • Later in Big Brother 15, Jeff gave interviews with past houseguests on the show and when the live feeds were not available.
  • On September 5, 2014, Jeff proposed to Jordan Lloyd after hosting a competition in Big Brother 16.
  • In the fall of 2014, Jeff Schroeder hosted the Survivor After Show for the show's twenty-ninth season, Survivor: San Juan del Sur.
  • Jeff, along with Jordan, appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars in 2015.
  • On April 6, 2016, it became announced that Jeff and Jordan were now married and expected their first child together.[4]
    • On October 13, 2016, Jordan gave birth to her and Jeff's first child, a boy named Lawson Keith Schroeder.[5]
  • Jeff competed on a Big Brother edition of The Price is Right primetime special that aired on May 24, 2016.[6] Jeff and his partner, Lauren lost their pricing game and failed to make it to the Showcase.[7]
  • Jeff appeared on Big Brother: Over The Top to host the Week 2 PoV Competition.
  • Since the summer of 2017, during the run of Big Brother 19, Jeff has been the host of a news program called "Daily Blast Live". Due to taking this job, which wasn't in Los Angeles, he had to retire as Big Brother interviewer, and the evicted houseguests ended up reading questions off of an iPad. For finale night, Will Kirby took over for the interviews, and from Big Brother 20 onwards, Ross Mathews and Marissa Jaret Winokur took over pre- and post-season interviews.
  • On March 23, 2018, it was announced that he and Jordan were expecting their second child. [8]
    • On September 7, 2018, Jordan gave birth to her and Jeff's second child, a boy named Layton Sarti Schroeder.[9]
  • Jeff appeared on Big Brother 20 to look back on the season with the Final Three.
  • Starting with Big Brother 21, Jeff returned as the pre-season cast interviewer.[10]

Trivia

  • Jeff was voted America's Favorite Houseguest both times he played Big Brother; being the only houseguest to do so.
  • In both of the seasons that Jeff played in, he won two Power of Veto competitions and one Head of Household. Interestingly, whenever Jeff won his first POV, he took himself off the block and whenever he won HOH, he also won POV and backdoored another houseguest. After this reign as HOH/POV holder ends, Jeff became nominated and evicted.
    • Coincidentally, his only reign as HoH was during Week 7 in both seasons.
  • In both of his seasons, Jeff has been evicted by a tie-breaker. Whenever Jeff became evicted, he became nominated with the eventual winner.
  • Each time he became evicted, he was nominated next to an ally.
  • Jeff is the only person to be evicted by a tie-breaker twice.
  • Jeff is technically the first houseguest, to win HoH and be evicted within the same week. In Big Brother 13, Jeff won HoH in the first round of the double eviction and became evicted during the second round.
  • Jeff and Brendon Villegas are the only people to always vote with the majority during their stay in BB13.
  • He was the first male to win an HOH competition in Big Brother 13.
  • Jeff and Jordan were the last remaining original duo in Big Brother 13.
  • Jeff is one of 17 to compete in another CBS reality show aside from Big Brother. The others are Alison Irwin, Jordan Lloyd, Brendon Villegas, Rachel Reilly, Hayden Moss, Caleb Reynolds, Jeff Weldon, Jackie Ibarra, Cody Nickson, Jessica Graf, Janelle Pierzina, Britney Haynes, Elissa Slater, Nicole Franzel, Victor Arroyo and Winston Hines.
  • Jeff is the first person to vote to evict someone that was expelled (Chima Simone).
