Known for her loud personality, obsession with Eric Littmann, and her bond with James Rhine, Ivette was a member of The Friendship Alliance, the rivals of the popular Sovereign Six Alliance. Her secret partner in the house was Beau Beasley. She and Beau were the last partners left in the game and Ivette went on to reach the Final 2 along with her ally Maggie Ausburn. However, her loyalty to her alliance as well as her loud and snarky personality cost her the win in a close 4-3 vote.
Ivette was later one of the candidates eligible to be voted into Big Brother 7 (US). Ivette, however, did not make it back into the game.
Ivette was the first openly lesbian woman to compete in Big Brother (US).
In a couple of her diary room sessions, the job description under her name would say, "She's Gay."
Ivette was the first houseguest in Big Brother history to cast a tiebreaker vote at the Final Five, then cast the sole vote to evict at the Final Four, and then win the final Head of Household competition and cast the sole vote to evict at the final 3. She was followed by Monte Taylor.
