The competition first appeared on Big Brother 7 (US) where Mike Malin won part two of the Final Head of Household.

The competition reappeared in Big Brother: Over The Top where Shelby Stockton won after a tiebreaker with Jason Roy after her mirrors had a technical difficulty before Jason's original time. Jason went second in the tiebreaker, but his mirrors also suffered a technical difficulty. But his happened 23 seconds after Shelby's time to win. So Shelby was awarded the HOH.
