The Elite Eight was an alliance of the original eight houseguests on Big Brother 4. It was formed immediately at the beginning of the game after it was discovered that some of them would be living with their ex-partners. It consisted of Alison Irwin, Dana Varela, David Lane, Erika Landin, Jack Owens, Jr., Jun Song, Nathan Marlow and Scott Weintraub.
Members
Creation
Shortly after they entered the house, the original eight houseguests were informed that some of them would be living with one of their "exes". After they heard the news, the houseguests all agreed to stick together and try to get the exes out of the house.
Fallout
The alliance started off very strong in the game after they successfully managed to evict two of the "exes" in the first two weeks of the game. But the alliance gradually started to fall apart after Dana Varela won HOH in Week 3 and betrayed her alliance. She nominated two members of the Elite Eight alongside each other, Jack Owens, Jr. and Alison Irwin. As well as Dana, Jun Song also switched sides in the house and began to align herself with the Three Stooges and Dana. The following week, Alison Irwin began to play both sides of the house and did not follow through with what her alliance her asked her to do. At this point, the alliance had dwindled down to just four official members.
Revival
- Main article: Girl Power
During Week 7 in the house, the alliance resurrected itself in the form of Girl Power. It formed when there were just five houseguests remaining; with Alison Irwin, Erika Landin and Jun Song being the members of the alliance. The alliance managed to finish off what the Elite Eight had been aiming to do throughout the whole season - evict the exes.
Victory
The Elite Eight was victorious in the end when Alison Irwin won the final HOH and decided to take Jun Song to the finale with her. After received six votes from the jury of seven, Jun was crowned the winner of Big Brother 4.
Trivia
- The Elite Eight is the first alliance where someone got expelled.
