Christine Nicole Kominek (née Varner, formerly Brecht) was a houseguest on Big Brother 16 (US).
Christine began the game working with her best friend Nicole Franzel and Hayden Voss, creating The Weirdos alliance together. However, after being in the right place at the right time, Christine was pulled into the dominant alliance, The Detonators. Christine’s inclusion in both alliances led to her being positioned safely for the majority of the game. Christine’s game began to crumble when The Detonators grew suspicious of Christine and her playing both sides. Despite trying to show her loyalty by backdooring Nicole, Christine was still left on the bottom of The Detonators. After Derrick Levasseur won Head of Household on Day 77 during the Double Eviction, Derrick nominated Christine alongside Victoria Rafaeli, with a plan to target Frankie Grande. However, after Frankie won the Power of Veto and discarded it, Christine was evicted by a vote of 3-0, placing 6th, and becoming the 6th member of the jury.

I really want to have a strong pack with only three to four people that I stay loyal to 'til the end. I don't want to play both sides of the house, but I'm not saying I won't. Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most: I love Howie, I just loved his personality and I love Mike Boogie's game. Helen amazed me with her ability to feel out what was happening in the house. What are you afraid of: I have a huge phobia of moths. I guess you could say I'm afraid of most flying bugs too. What would you take into the house and why: My cell phone, a Spice Girls CD, because I need to jam out, and Settlers of Catan, because it's the best game and it brings people together! Christine once threw a surprise birthday party for a homeless man in the park, was in a hot air balloon accident in high school, but only walked away with bruises. She has been to Disneyland more than 50 times.[1]
Christine became engaged to Daniel Kominek on September 4, 2020.[3] They got married on April 17, 2021.[4] Daniel had a child from a previous relationship.
Christine announced her pregnancy on August 24, 2022.[5]
Christine contracted COVID-19 at some point prior to November, 2020.[6]
Christine is the second houseguest to win an Head of Household, Battle of the Block, and a Power of Veto competition on Big Brother 16 (US), following Donny. She is also the first female to achieve this feat.
Christine is tied with Nicole for the most competition wins for a female on Big Brother 16 (US) with five.
Christine is the only female on Big Brother 16 (US) to win the Power of Veto multiple times.
Both times she won the Power of Veto, it was during the first half of a Double Eviction.
