History[]

Big Brother 2 (US)[]

Creation[]

In the first week of BB2, Mike, also known as Boogie, was crowned the first HOH. Mike, Will, and Shannon saw themselves as the cool people of the house and hung out a lot, isolating themselves from everyone else. Mike referred to them as people you'd want to hang out with as opposed to buy an insurance policy from. Under Mike's HOH reign, the three of them created the first alliance in Big Brother history, calling it Chilltown, with the name coming from the temperature of the room they were sleeping in. They were also friends with Krista and Justin.

Survival[]

Mike, as the first HOH, nominated Sherryl and Nicole, with the intent of evicting Nicole. In his mind, Sheryl was so likeable and Nicole was so unlikeable that it was a done deal that Nicole would be sent packing, marking the first ever use of a pawn. Through Chilltown's isolation of the rest of the house, Nicole was able to play to the house's growing disgruntlement with Chilltown and get them to vote out Sherryl purely to stick it to Chilltown. In a vote of 5-3, Chilltown was left blindsided as Nicole stayed. An alliance called TOP (The Other People) was formed between Monica, Kent, Bunky, Nicole, Hardy, and Autumn with the purpose of exterminating Chilltown. They also lost an ally in Justin when he got expelled in the same week. With most of the house targeting Chilltown, it was imperative that they win the next HOH. The next best person to win, Krista, won the HOH. She asked everyone who they wanted her to nominate and most said members of Chilltown. Having no issue with Chilltown, she instead decided to target Autumn, who she claimed the house was having a negative effect on, and nominating Kent as a pawn. Autumn was evicted 7-0.

Destruction[]

After winning power in the first week and getting lucky in the second, Chilltown's target caught up with them as TOP member Hardy won the third HOH. A showmance had been brewing between Will and Shannon over the past couple weeks, and while Hardy fully intended on nominating the two of them, he attempted to get Mike to betray his alliance by trying to make a deal with him, which he did not accept. Will and Shannon were nominated with the target being Will, as the house saw him as the mastermind of Chilltown and just generally an annoying person. Shannon sacrificed her game to save Will by annoying the houseguests more and cleaning the toilet with Hardy's toothbrush and was voted out in a 6-0 vote. In the next week, Kent, another member of TOP, won HOH. TOP mandated that he nominate at least one member of Chilltown, so he did, nominating Mike against Krista. He cut a deal with Will that if Will were to win HOH, he wouldn't nominate him, which Will fully intended on breaking. Will's plan was to bring in Nicole and Hardy and vote out Krista 3-2, but in the end Mike was evicted with Will being the outlier in a 4-1 vote.

Solo Play[]

Will, being the last member of the Chilltown alliance, was so hated that he was deemed unthreatening. He had also not won an HOH yet, so that helped. While he claimed to have thrown every HOH, he had also talked about wanting to win HOH's earlier in the season, so while some were thrown, he was also just bad at competitions. He slowly and methodically got TOP to turn on each other and narrowly slipped past to the end, being nominated four times on the way there. He lied, manipulated, and backstabbed his way to the end and carried the Chilltown name on his back for this season, winning the $500,000.

Big Brother 7 (US)[]

Pregame Rumors[]

It is rumored that Will refused to play in All Stars if Boogie was not there, which could explain why there was a gender imbalance with 8 men and 6 women this season. There was a list of 20 candidates released to the public that they'd have the chance to vote for 8 of them to enter the house while production would choose the other 6. It is also rumored that Will and Boogie saw this list and went on to call up most, if not all, of the candidates on the list to make pregame alliances and deals with them.

The Sovereigns in Power[]

The other alliance coming in from a different season was the Sovereign Six. Right out of the gate, there were three groups in the house: Chilltown (Mike and Will), the Sovereigns (James, Kaysar, Janelle, and Howie), and the floaters (Alison, Nakomis, Jase, Diane, Marcellas, Danielle, George, and Erika). Chilltown aligned with the Sovereigns to keep a shield in front of them, as they were both public alliances with huge targets. In week 1, co-HOH's Janelle and Jase nominated Danielle and Alison, leaving Will feeling insulted that he wasn't nominated. In week 2, Will asked to be nominated by Kaysar but Kaysar refused. In week 3, James won HOH and wasn't scared of nominating Chilltown, so he nominated Will against George. Will and Boogie both played in this week's veto and, despite being at risk of losing a member, were the first two people to bow out of the competition. George won the veto and was replaced with Jase. At the veto ceremony, Will told everyone he hated them and asked them to vote him out, only to be later saved in a 9-0 vote. Two showmances/flirtmances had been brewing, the first being Janelle and Will, and the second being Mike and Erika. In week 4, the Sovereigns pressured Janelle into nominating Chilltown. Not wanting to nominate Will, she nominated Boogie against Erika and told Will to win the veto so he could save Boogie and the Sovereigns would stop pressuring her into nominating Chilltown. Will, of course, didn't win the veto and instead Boogie won it, saving himself. Will asked Janelle to nominate him and flirted his way into not getting nominated, causing Janelle to anger quite a few people by nominating Diane. This caused James to defect.

Legion of Doom[]

BB2 villains Will and Boogie, BB3 villain Danielle, and BB6 villain James colluded together and formed a BB fan's dream alliance, the Legion of Doom, after James defected from the Sovereigns. In week 5, Danielle won HOH and nominated James against Janelle, believing James had the best shot at beating Janelle in the veto. The entire Legion of Doom played in this veto and had the option to sacrifice points for prizes or gain points for punishments. Will and Boogie saw Janelle as a shield as everyone wanted her out so they both sacrificed as many points as possible and James sacrificed a few points as well, resulting in Danielle taking on a bunch of punishments and still losing the competition to Janelle. While Danielle was in solitary confinement, Chilltown spread a rumor that Marcellas took the TV and tried to get him nominated because of it. When she returned, Danielle refused to do that and nominated Kaysar to get out a Sovereign. Kaysar was evicted 5-1 with the floaters and Chilltown voting out Kaysar and the Sovereigns voting out James (with one vote cancelled by James). Mike won the Coup de Tat, with the ability to name his own nominees on eviction night once within the next three weeks. In week 6, Janelle won the HOH and nominated Danielle and Erika with Danielle as the target. Will, with the help of James, threw the veto to Danielle. Chilltown then got their way with Marcellas and convinced Janelle to nominate him as a pawn and promised that they'd vote out Erika, only for literally everyone in the house to vote out Marcellas 6-0. During the double eviction, George won the HOH and nominated James and Erika. James then won the veto and Will asked George to nominate him. Hearing that Will was going to be nominated and not knowing Will asked to be nominated, Mike threatened George with the Coup de Tat and George nominated Howie instead. As the swing votes, Chilltown decided to evict Howie 3-2. In week 7, Mike won HOH and nominated Janelle and James. Chilltown threw the veto to Janelle and George was nominated in her place. Chilltown later betrayed Danielle and James, who by this point were also a duo, by voting out James 3-1.

Operation Double Date[]

With James evicted, Danielle was no longer with Chilltown. Erika won HOH and nominated George and Janelle. Chilltown took this time to align themselves with everyone in the house and told each of them, minus Danielle, that they were a secret member of Chilltown. Janelle won the veto. Despite Erika having a great relationship outside of the house with Danielle, Chilltown convinced her that no one would beat Danielle in the end. Mike showmanced Erika and Will kept Erika away from Danielle the night before nominations, resulting in Danielle being nominated and evicted 3-0. During the double eviction, Janelle won HOH and Will quickly convinced Janelle to target Erika and nominate Erika and George, which she did. Erika won the veto and Boogie was the replacement, with George being evicted 2-0. The only people left were Chilltown and Erika and Janelle, who Chilltown were convincing to target each other. Mike won HOH and nominated Erika and Janelle. Janelle won veto and Will was initially excited, but Erika revealed that she was a "secret member of Chilltown" to Janelle and they both agreed to evict Will instead of targeting each other.

Jury[]

Will went to the jury and convinced them that a member of Chilltown should win this game, as they had their hands in everything and dominated the game. Mike won the final HOH and evicted Janelle. Chilltown was able to convince the jury to vote for Mike to win in a 6-1 vote, crowning their second victor.

Big Brother 14 (US)[]

Mike came back for BB14 and tried to re-create the Chilltown magic by naming his duo with Frank "Chilltown," to little success.

Legacy[]

Chilltown is regarded as one of, if not the most successful alliance of all time. In BB2 and BB14, as an alliance, Chilltown did less than stellar, being down to one member by the final 7 in BB2 and being completely eliminated by the final 6 in BB14. Despite this, they were the first alliance to have two winners and their name is carried by the iconic and dominant gameplay they had in BB7. They were also the first alliance ever made in Big Brother. One of the members of Chilltown, Will, is regarded as one of, if not the best player of all time. They go down in BB history as a truly legendary alliance.
