Carnival Quick Shot is a recurring Head of Household, Re-Entry, and Second Chance Challenge competition, similar to Perfect Shot and Ball Roll.
Rules[]
This competition has two variations/parts:
- Players must roll one ball at a time up a ramp and land a certain number on a flat platform in the fastest time.
- Players must knock a certain number of balls off the platform in the fastest time
The exact format varies in each appearance. On Big Brother 22 (US), the houseguest had to land three balls in the holes on the platform. There were 3 heats of six; the top three from each heat advancing to the next round until there was a winner. This format would appear in Big Brother Canada 9, replacing the slots with a flat landing atop a ramp.
In Big Brother 23 (US), the competition played out over two rounds:
- The houseguests had to knock ten silver balls off of the flat platform by their respective balls up the ramp one at a time. The two fastest houseguests advanced to the next round.
- The two remaining competitors are given ten balls. On Julie's command, the houseguests try to land as many of these on the platform, with only one shot with each ball.
On Big Brother 25 (US), the format was slightly altered to incorporate a knockout element:
- Instead of a flat platform, the end of the ramp had targets featuring the competing houseguests' BB Comics. Each player had three targets.
- One at a time, the houseguest will call out which houseguest's target they would like to hit.
- If the player hits they target they called out, the hit counts.
- If they hit a target they did not call out, the hit does not count and the target is reset.
- Once all of a player's targets are down, they are out. The last houseguest standing wins the competition.
On Big Brother 26 (US), it worked as follows:
- The players rolled one balls of their respective colors at a time up the ramp, trying to land on the flat platform.
- Once a player has five balls on the platform, they use the silver balls to knock off their colored balls off the platform.
- The houseguest who completes this and buzzes in first wins the competition.
On Big Brother 27 (US), the format was slightly altered:
- The houseguests rolled one gold orb at a time up the ramp, trying to land it on the platform.
- If they land a ball or it fall off the platform, the houseguests must go under the bar to retrieve another orb.
- If it rolls back down the ramp, the play can roll it again.
- The first houseguest to land 5 orbs and buzz in wins the competition.
