Miranda "Bowie Jane" Ball was a houseguest on Big Brother 25 (US).

Initially being loyal to Cirie Fields' Bye Bye Bitches alliance, Bowie Jane quickly defected after being blindsided on her closest ally Red Utley's eviction in week 5. With no true allies and being seen as least threatening by the entire house for not playing a sound strategic game, she flew under the radar until her Head of Household win in Week 10, when she formed the new dominant alliance The Mafia with Jag Bains and Matt Klotz, which usurped control that allowed her to take out all their enemies and reach the end game. Claiming that she did not want to deceive in order to win and staying blindly loyal to The Mafia, Bowie Jane was evicted by Jag at the final three to honor his closer relationship with Matt and became the seventh and final member of the jury.

How does it feel to be on the 25th season of Big Brother?
I'm so excited to be part of Big Brother's 25th anniversary. It makes it that little bit extra special. There's a bit more of a buzz going around. And we're out of COVID! I'm so excited.

What twists do you think are happening in Big Brother 25?
I've been trying to think about what Big Brother might have in store for the 25th season. And I'm thinking it could be something like bringing back some challenges from the past seasons. I don't know. Perhaps you bring back some of the winners, and they're going to be having a little go in the house. I'm not sure. Maybe some intruders; that'd be cool.

Why did you decide you wanted to play Big Brother?
I wanted to be in the Big Brother house because I love Big Brother. I love the game. I think it's really interesting. It's so crafty. I don't know how anyone wins this game. So anyone who's going to come in and win, it's absolute rubbish. You've just got to pivot, pivot, pivot. I'm excited to play the strategy and get involved.

What's your experience watching Big Brother?
When I first moved to America--I've been here for about eight years--I started watching Big Brother here, and my jaw nearly fell to the floor because boy, is it hardcore. It's hardcore strategy, very different to Australia. I really enjoy the seasons here because of all the strategy in the alliances. So let's crack and get in a good alliance.

What is your strategy going into the game?
When I get in here, I want to get in the big alliance straightaway. Because if you think there isn't a big alliance in the house, bub, you're about to get voted off.

How much will you hide about yourself during your time in the house?
So I have a few secrets which I will be keeping. My age, because I'm 45, but I never even think about my age, and I never tell people my age. So in the house, if anyone asks, I'm 34. Don't tell anyone, alright? I'm also a lawyer, and I'm not going to be telling people that. That is how you get voted out, saying you're a lawyer.

Why will you win Big Brother 25?
I think I can win this season because I do get along with people. And I'm used to getting along with all sorts of people: Young, old, party people, quiet people. I think I can mix with anyone. So I'm hoping that strategy will get me through to the end.[1]

Player History - Big Brother 25 (US)[]

For the first few weeks of the game, Bowie Jane was an intended pawn to Cirie Fields' Bye Bye Bitches alliance, to which she was strictly loyal to. However, when Red Utley was evicted in Week 5 by an 8-2 vote, Bowie Jane was left uninformed and quickly defected to be a largely independent player, save her allyship with Cameron Hardin. Being mostly unstrategic, she would continue to fly under the radar, even voting to evict Cameron prior to his re-entry, leading to Bowie Jane having no true allies.

However, her game would skyrocket to the front of the house's vision following her Head of Household win in Week 10, in which she chose to backdoor Cameron per request from the house (largely Jag Bains and Matt Klotz), which ended in his successful 6-0 eviction. Bowie Jane would then become closely aligned with Jag and Matt to form The Mafia alliance, claiming that she did not want to deceive in order to win, and would choose to play for the alliance, even if that meant losing the game herself.

As The Mafia would win every single HOH during the jury phase (including 2 more for Bowie), she remained safe until only the alliance remained at the final 3, where she would lose both parts of the final HOH competition. Bowie was the victim of being the alliance's outermost member, being evicted by Jag's sole vote. She placed 3rd, and became the seventh and final member of the jury.

Despite early intentions by several houseguests to use her as a pawn, Bowie Jane broke the record for the amount of days spent in the house without being nominated, with 98 days, a record previously held by Derrick Levasseur. As a jury member, she voted for Jag to win the game over Matt due to their closer relationship.
