From Big Brother 10 to Big Brother 17, Big Brother featured promotional seasons leading up to the release of their upcoming mainline season. During these condensed competitions, a handful notable figures from the press, social/television media, or even former players play the Big Brother game for one cycle. The conclusions of these seasons vary, with some featuring an eviction and no winner or no eviction being shown at all. In one instance, however, Production choose two winners after the eviction based on who they thought played the best games. Sometimes, competitions are hosted by former Houseguests and archived audio of host Julie Chen-Moonves is used during evictions. These promotional seasons were retired starting with Big Brother 18, but there was one that featured social media influencers prior to the premiere of Big Brother 26
