Big Brother Sverige 9 is the ninth season of Big Brother Sverige.

Developments[]

After a successful comeback season in 2020, TV4 announced on October 11, 2020 that a new season of Big Brother would air starting on February 15, 2021. They promised to develop and refine the show's concepts.^[1]

On March 18, 2021, Malin Stenbäck announced that she would leave Big Brother to host seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette instead. Because of this, Arantxa Alvarez became the main host of the season.^[2]

According to Executive Producer Joel Bendrik, all people from ages 20-60 are eligible to apply.

Format Change: Returning from the previous season, the season would have two phases: the qualifying game phase and the final game phase.
Additional Housemates: Throughout the season, additional housemates entered the house.
- On Day 11, Tanja Ingebretsen Kallin entered the house.
- On Day 13, Adrian Podde entered the house.
- On Day 26, Madelene Billman entered the house.
- On Day 32, Alexander Eklund entered the house.
- On Day 39, Jaqueline Lysholm entered the house.
- On Day 41, Dennis Asteson entered the house.
- On Day 43, three returning players from the last season, entered the house. They were Julia Löfgren, Mergim Feka, and Victoria Klöfver Rama.
