Big Brother Quebec 1 is the seventh season of Big Brother Quebec, but the first season with the Big Brother name.

Twists

• American Format: Unlike the format of the previous seasons, this season would have elements of the American format of the game.
• Numéros: The Numéros were divided into two different housemates. They were the housemates that controlled the nominations for the week.
  • Numéro 1: The Numéro 1 was the Head of Household. Numéro 1 was exempt from eviction and enjoyed certain luxuries. They were also required to nominate two housemates for eviction.
  • Numéro 2: Numéro 2 was selected by Numéro 1. Despite being immune from eviction and enjoying certain luxuries, they were forced to sleep at the foot of Numéro 1's bed, lest they lose their power and privilege. In addition, Numéro 2 was required to choose a third housemate to nominate for eviction.
• Pouvoir de Véto: The Pouvoir de Véto (translated as the Power of Veto), would be held every week to save a nominated housemate. The winner of the Véto would have the right to veto a nominee and select the replacement.
• Food Competition: Each week the housemates would battle over what they would be allowed to eat in the house. The winners received desired food items, such as steak, bread, vegetables, and dairy, while the losers dined on slop.
• Public vs. Housemate Evictions: Each week the housemates would either vote out the nominees themselves or a public vote would occur to vote a housemate out.
• Jury: At the final eviction, the jury of previously departed housemates and the current housemates would vote out one housemate left out of the house.
• Grenade: Similar to Big Brother Australia 8 after a housemate was evicted from the game, the evicted housemate will be given a power or punishment to give to one of the remaining housemates in the game.
