Increased Cash Prize: The cash prize was increased by ₦5,000,000, with the total now being ₦90,000,000.^[1]
Two-Night Premiere Event: For the first time in Big Brother Naija history, the premiere took place over two days, with the 11 male housemates moving in on Night 1, and the 11 female housemates moving in on Night 2.^[2]
Wildcards: After the season premiere, it was revealed that two housemates were secretly Wildcards. On Day 9, Big Brother would task the housemates to identify the Wildcards. If the housemates successfully identify them, the Wildcards would be evicted from the game. However, if they incorrectly identify them, the Wildcards would become official housemates, be able to win the ₦90,000,000 cash prize, and would have the sole power to nominate housemates during Week 2.^[3]
