Big Brother Australia 7 is the seventh version of Big Brother Australia. After 100 days, Aleisha Cowcher was crowned the winner over runner-up Zach Douglas.

Auditions[]
The seventh season of Big Brother was announced at the finale of the prior season. Later that year, auditions were held in November and December in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, and Darwin.
House[]
During the launch, it was announced that the house would be given an "eco-friendly" makeover. "The latest series is selling itself on green credentials. The house features a pedal-powered washing machine, rubber garden turf made from recycled car tires and goat hair carpets. Because of level-five water restrictions in Queensland, housemates will have four-minute showers each day."[1]

Prize Money[]
It was announced on launch night that producers had axed the prize money to the housemates.[2] It was then revealed in the Diary Room that each week, housemates would "win" their prize money. Each week during the weekly task, housemates would compete for not only for a shopping budget but for an undisclosed amount to be added to the prize pool.
Twists[]
- No Prize Money: On launch night, it was revealed that there was no prize money, but instead housemates earned prize money through their weekly tasks.
- White Room: After 4 of the 6 possible housemates were not voted into the house, they moved into the "White Room". Throughout their stay, they had to stay in a small white room, wear only white clothes, and eat porridge. The last one to leave the room would win a spot in the Main House.
- Save and Replace: In replaces of the Three Point Twist, the winner of the Friday Night Live Games was given the option to save one nominee for the nominations lineup and replace them with another.
- Big Brother Starburst Golden Key: Four months before the season started, Starburst partnered with Channel Ten to hold a contest for a member of the public to enter the house as a wildcard. One hundred "golden keys" were available inside of packages of Starbursts, a similar reference to Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. On Day 18, Nick Sady entered the house as the winner.
