Big Brother 6 (UK) is the sixth season of Big Brother (UK).

After 78 days, Anthony Hutton beat Eugene Sully, taking home a prize of £50,000, rather than the intended £100,000. This is due to a task that allowed Eugene to take half of the prize money, which he accepted.

Background

Promotion ran eight days before usual, sparking a myth of two separate houses due to the black and blue stripes. However, this was false. After producers confirmed that evil Big Brother would not be returning, it was announced days before the series that it was back. The theme for the season circled around triskaidekaphobia, the fear of the "unlucky thirteen." The prize remained at £100,000, before Day 76 where Eugene had the option of taking half leaving £50,000 for the winner or not taking the money and doubling the prize to £200,000.

House

The first images of the season's house were revealed 24th May,2005, where the outdoor shower and pool were shown. In the garden there was a row of three outdoor showers, with two toilets being contained indoors, with one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The pool featured a wooden deck and was situated in the corner of the garden.

• Fake Opening Nominations: Makosi was randomly was chosen to go to the diary room on Day 1, as she received a call from Big Brother. She was given a secret task. In order to escape the first eviction, Makosi had to get the most nominations. If she was successful, she would be immune and would select two housemates for eviction. She was successful and nominated Craig and Mary for eviction.
• The Secret Garden: First used on Day 29, Kinga Karolczak, Orlaith McAllister, and Eugene Sully entered the house. With the help of Makosi Musambasi, the three had to steal necessities from the other housemates, as the three had none. At the end of their stay, Makosi chose Orlaith and Eugene to stay and sent home Kinga, who returned when Orlaith left the game on Day 65.
• Reverse Lying Nominations: For Week 7's nominations, Big Brother told the housemates that that week's nominations were optional, which was a lie. As Anthony, Craig, and Kemal were the only ones that nominated, they were immune. Big Brother would later tell the housemates that Anthony, Craig, and Kemal were up for eviction, but in fact, those who did not nominate were up for nominations.
• Housemates Voting Out Housemate: Following the Week 7 nominations twist, the two housemates with the most votes to evict from the public would face a housemate vote. Makosi and Vanessa were announced to have the most votes and by a vote of 6-1, Vanessa was evicted from the house.
• Nominated to Save: For Week 9's nominations, it was announced that instead of nominating to evict, housemates were evicting two housemates they wish to stay in the house. After nominations, it was announced that Kemal and Orlaith had the least amount of votes and were up for eviction.
• New Housemate Could Be Nominated: As Kinga re-entered the house so late, she was eligible for nominations. Big Brother set her a mission that if at least one housemate did not nominate her, she would be immune from eviction. She passed her mission.
• Stealing Prize Money: On Day 76 after Craig's eviction, Big Brother called a housemate to the diary room. Eugene was the first to arrive and was given an offer from Big Brother. Eugene was offered half of the prize money, £50,000, leaving the other £50,000 for the winner. But if he did not take the money, it would be doubled to £200,000. Eugene took £50,000, and the winner would win the other £50,000.

Week 1	Days 1-5	The "unlucky thirteenth" housemate was chosen randomly on Day 1 as Makosi, when she was first to respond to a call by Big Brother for "a housemate" to go to the Diary Room. 	Days 12-14	Housemates had to participate in the "Big Brother Hospital Task." Roberto was randomly chosen to become the head doctor and chose Saskia, Science, and Vanessa as his nurses. 	Days 18-20	For the shopping task, housemates had to participate in a "Pirate Task". All housemates besides the captain had to do various tasks involving being a pirate and were only allowed two fails per day. Science was randomly chosen as the captain.	Luxury Shopping Budget
	Day 20	Big Brother held a speed dating task. The housemates were each paired with three other housemates and they had to go on 2 minute dates with each of them.
	Day 22	Science requested toilet paper. Big Brother gave him a secret task. He was told that for every housemate that he slapped on the bottom, he would receive one roll of toilet paper.	Toilet Paper	7 Rolls of Toilet Paper

	Days 24-27	Big Brother set the housemates the "Room 101" task. Maxwell selected himself to be worker number one, automatically making him the unlucky worker. Maxwell was assigned to disgusting tasks such as sorting maggots. Week 5	Days 30-32	Less than 24 hours after Kinga, Eugene and Orlaith had entered the Secret Garden, a red button appeared in the main House. Makosi pressed the button and was immediately called to the Diary Room. She entered the Secret Garden, met Kinga, Eugene and Orlaith, and was instructed to help them by stealing food and other supplies from the main House.	Immunity

	Days 38-40	Big Brother sent the housemates on "holiday" as part of their shopping task. Vanessa was randomly chosen to become the main "Holiday Rep." She chose Makosi and Orlaith to be her assistants. The Holiday Reps had to do everything in their power to make the other housemates have an enjoyable holiday. 	Day 40	Eugene was on a secret mission to mimic the first person that asked him a question. As Makosi was the first one to ask him a question, he had to mimic her.	Reward
	Day 41	The housemates were given a "Mass Debating" task. Maxwell and Science had to choose teams and the teams had to write speeches about why their chosen housemate should stay in the House. 	Days 47-48	The housemates were given a sporting arena task, the "Big Brother Games", where selected housemates trained and competed in four events: synchronised swimming, rhythmic gymnatics, cycling and trampolining. Kemal was excused due to illness, but opened the games with singing and commentated throughout. Week 9	Day 60	The housemates were split into three teams. Each team had to demonstrate the housemates' inner-beauty through a different form of creative expression. Anthony and Makosi created an art installation. Derek, Eugene and Orlaith prepared a mime performance. Craig and Kemal wrote a song. 	Days 61-63	The housemates were given a secret agent task to complete. Kemal was randomly being selected to be a double agent for this task. The housemates failed to realise this, so passed the task. Week 10	Days 66-67	Kinga entered the House as Orlaith's replacement. As she was sent in, she was told that if she got at least one person to not nominate her this week, she will be immune from eviction and definitely be in the house for the final week and will be eligible to win.	Immunity
	Days 69-70	The housemates were given a rodeo task to complete, where they had to master rodeo skills, these being sharp shooting, line dancing, lassoing and riding the bucking bronco for a rodeo show.	Luxury Shopping Budget
Week 11	Day 72	Big Brother called a housemate to the Diary Room, Makosi went in and was given a red envelope as part of a special secret mission, she was asked to keep it hidden. Later on a gingerbread House was placed in the garden and Makosi stepped inside, this turned out to be a cage which was suspended above the garden. When Makosi was told to open the envelope, it simply said "You Have Been Kidnapped". One by one the other housemates were called to the Diary Room and offered treats, if they took the treat Makosi would remain in the cage for a further thirty minutes. 	Day 73	Housemates were informed that they would be hypnotised, and if they all took part successfully they would receive a reward. One by one they were called to the Diary Room and given the information that this was fake, they were each given a secret mission, given a trigger word, and when it is said in the house they should convince the other housemates they are hypnotised to behave a certain way, for example, Anthony was given the trigger word "hotstuff" and told to pretend he was in a nightclub chatting up fellow housemates. 	Day 74	Housemates were given the task to perform "The Big Brother Play", where they would re-enact memorable moments playing past and present housemates, and they chose the genre of "arguments" to perform.	"After-Show" Party
