Big Brother 18 (UK) (also known as "The United Kingdom of Big Brother") is the 18th series of Big Brother (UK).

Background

Casting

A rumor which would later become true, would be the first time that you must audition as pairs. There will be no individual applicants, you must audition with a partner. After the audition, they may or not split you from your partner if you move on. The rumor about pairs was confirmed during Celebrity Big Brother 19 when Emma Willis announced that they were looking for pairs.

Eye

The eye was revealed on Thursday 11th, May 2017 on Twitter. The theme was revealed to be a Best of British theme will a political battle to the top with words like "immigrants and polling place" rather than the original "nominate and evict". The motto of the series is "The United Kingdom of Big Brother… and everyone is welcome."

Airing

The series launched on June 5th with a two-hour episode. This season will feature live feeds after each eviction after a 90-minute eviction episode.

House

The New House Plan

The house was revealed on May 31, 2017. The house was shown to have a British theme with a new construction of the house after pictures were leaked in April.. During the house reveal, it was discovered that there would be two bedrooms for the first time since Big Brother 9 (UK) in 2008.In addition, it will be the first time since the move to Channel 5 in 2011 that the kitchen would be separated from the living room. This house was called "The Big Brother Village" and features a village design.

Housemate Reveal

Unlike the usual launch night reveal, on June 2, 2017, six housemates were revealed to the public. This is the first time since Big Brother 16 (UK) that housemates have been revealed before the series launched.

Twists

• People's Housemate: For the first time in history, one housemate selected from four individual candidates will serve as the people's housemate. That housemate will openly communicate to the outside world to make decisions while overruling the house.
• Additional Housemates: Due to three extra housemates leaving the house, two females and one male will enter the house for a chance to stay in the house.
• Housemates Choose New Housemates: Building on above, existing housemates will get to choose from all three new housemates of which two they would like to stay in the house.
• Second Chance Housemates: Due to the ejections and walkers, all the previous potential housemates were given a chance to enter the house as second chance housemates. They will not be competing for the main prize pot, instead a smaller prize pot of £15,000.
• Stolen Prize fund: After entering the house, it was revealed that the second chance housemates were not allowed to win. However, as a result, £15,000 has been removed from the normal housemates' prize fund for a second prize for the second chancer that makes it the furthest.
• The Hunt: A series of games instead of nominations where the losers faced the next eviction. On Day 37, Chanelle became the first victim of The Hunt, and Simone became the second. This continued on Day 38, where Isabelle and Sue became the third and fourth victims of The Hunt respectively.
• The Steal: During Week 7, housemates were divided up in two different teams competing for £20,000 out of the Prize Fund. After two days, £18,810 was collected by the two teams. Since the Gold Team won the most, all members had to chance to claim all the money for themselves and as a result, evict one housemate from the house. Andrew claimed the money and evicted Sam.

On Day 1, Tom became the People's Housemate. This means he have the power to exile 8 people, his initial choice is Arthur, Chanelle, Charlotte, Hannah, Lotan, Raph, Rebecca and Sukhvinder.

On Day 3, Tom has one last chance to change the nominees, he replaced Charlotte and Hannah with Imran and Mandy.

On Day 5, the 2 housemates with the least votes to save will face a special eviction twist. The bottom 2 is Imran and Mandy. Tom must then chose 1 of the 2 to be evicted. He chose Mandy.

On Day 5, Mandy became the 1st housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

On Day 7, Arthur decided to leave the Big Brother house due to him not being wanted to be victimised on the show.

On the same day, Joe was given a punishment which was a killer nomination, he chose to nominate Raph.

On Day 8, Charlotte, Imran, Kayleigh, Rebecca, and Sukhvinder joined Raph to face eviction, Rebecca and Sukhvinder received 6 nominations, Imran and Kayleigh received 4 nominations, while Charlotte received 3 nominations.

On Day 12, Imran became the 2nd housemate to evicted, Sukhvinder also joined her husband and decided to walk out the house via the main entrance.

On Day 13, Kayleigh was ejected from the Big Brother house due to multiple threats of violence and threatening behaviour.

On Day 16, Isabelle and Savannah were chosen into the house via a house task.

On Day 21, Lotan was ejected from the house due to aggressive behaviour.

On Day 20, the house nominated Hannah, Isabelle, Lotan and Tom. However, due to Lotan's ejection, the nominations are now all voided, causing all the housemates to face eviction.

On Day 25, Savannah became the 4th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

On Day 25, after Savannah's eviction, 4 Second Chance housemates entered the house.

These 4 housemate will not be able to compete for the Main Prize Pot. Rather 15000 was taken out of the main prize pot, and they will be competing for this sum of money. The last Second Chance housemate remaining will win this prize pot and leave on finale night, making he or she immune after the once the 3 second chance housemates are evicted.

This week, only the second chance housemates are guaranteed to nominate. The other housemates must earn the right to nominate. Hannah, Deborah, Raph and Ellie earned the right to nominate and get to discuss nominations with 1 of the Second Chance housemate.

After discussions, Charlotte, Joe and Tom will face this week's eviction.

On Day 33, Joe became the 5th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

This week, there will be nominations. Instead, "The Hunt" was unleashed onto the house where the losers of each game will face eviction. Chanelle, Simone, Isabelle and Sue each loss their following games and put up for eviction.

During the early hours on Day 40, Simone became the 6th housemate and 1st Second Chance housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

Another eviction twist was unleashed after Simone's eviction, the person with the least votes to evict will be able to avoid the eviction twist which was Isabelle.

The safe housemates are told they must vote to save between Chanelle or Sue, Chanelle received 9 votes whilst Sue had 1 vote.

During the evening hours on Day 40, Sue became the 7th housemate and 2nd Second Chance housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

Week 7

On Day 42, the housemates began the "The Steal", housemate separates the 2 teams steal £20,000 from the winner's prize fund, in the end the housemates retrieved £18,900.

The winning team's will have the power to win £18,900 by pressing a buzzer, however they must choose one person in the house to evict.

Andrew was the quickest and therefore choice Sam to be evicted due to him being the last 2nd Second Chance housemate remaining in the competition.

On Day 44, Sam became the 8th housemate and 3rd Second Chance housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

This makes Andrew the Second Chance housemate and becomes the Second Chance Winner.

On Day 45, the house has nominated Chanelle, Ellie, Hannah, Kieran and Tom. Even though Sam lost his housemate status on Day 42, was still able to nominate until he officially leaves on Day 47. Chanelle received 6 nominations, Hannah, Kieran and Tom received 3 nominations, while Ellie received 2 nominations.

On Day 47, Chanelle and Ellie became the 9th and 10th housemates to be evicted.

After Chanelle and Ellie's eviction, all remaining main housemates must choose 2 people to be evicted. The housemates then each voted for 1 person to be evicted, Hannah received 3 votes while Kieran and Tom each received 2 votes.

They then used the public vote from Chanelle's and Ellie's eviction, whoever got the most public votes will be fake evicted alongside Hannah. In the end, Hannah and Tom was fake evicted on Day 47.

On Day 50, Charlotte became the 11th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

On Day 52, the Heaven and Hell twist was unleashed. The housemates who entered heaven will become finalist whilst the housemates who entered hell will be evicted. The results are predeterminate by the viewers votes with the 2 housemates that has the fewest votes to win will be evicted.

On Day 52, Hannah and Kieran became the 12th and 13th housemates to be evicted.
