Big Brother 15 (UK) (other known as Big Brother: Power Trip or Big Brother 2014) is the fifteenth series of the Big Brother (UK).

This season centralized around the concept of power. A new change to each week's nominations were influenced by the Power Housemate, a housemate voted on by the viewers each week who would receive special powers that would affect the outcome of the game.

After 72 days Helen Wood reigned victorious over Ashleigh Coyle in the closest final vote in the series' history. This marked the first time a woman had won the show since it moved to Channel 5, as well as the first time both members of the Final 2 were female. Helen would return to the house the following year along with Big Brother 8 (UK) winner Brian Belo and Big Brother 7 (UK) finalist and Ultimate Big Brother runner-up Nikki Grahame as a "Time Warp Housemate", playing in to that season's "Time Warp" twist.

• Benjamin Norris, the winner of Big Brother Australia 9, was initially to be a housemate on Big Brother 15 (UK), but was later pulled from the lineup because producers wanted a villain instead. He was replaced by eventual winner Helen Wood.

The house images for Big Brother; "Power-Trip" were revealed on 2^nd June, 2014 and featured a futuristic design, with each area featuring futuristic computer panels that were used to feed messages to the housemates.

• Power Housemate: Each week a housemate or housemates would be known as the Power Housemate(s), depending on the week, the housemate(s) would be required to influence the Big Brother game in a way that was never seen before. For more information see Power Housemate below.
• Armageddon Week: During Week 6, several major twist were introduced to the house.
  • On Day 40, the housemates who received the most nominations will be instantly evicted from the house.
  • On the same day, 3 new housemates entered the Big Brother house.
  • On Day 44, a double eviction occurs, one of the new housemates will be evicted via the public's decision whilst the new housemates choose another housemate to be evicted.

On Day 1, the public voted for Pauline to be the Power Housemate.

On Day 2, Pauline chose Helen to have eternal immunity until the Finale after the final 6 housemates entered the house.

On Day 4, Pauline was forced to put eternal nomination on a housemate, she chose Jale. The house then also nominated Danielle and Tamara for eviction. Danielle and Tamara received 4 nominations each and face the public vote.

On Day 9, Tamara became. the 1st housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

On Day 9, Chris became the Power housemate and have full control of nominations. He immediately then nominated Pauline and Christopher on the same day.

For the following few days, Chris nominated Steven, Ash and Marlon.

On Day 16, Pauline became the 2nd housemate to be evicted with 79.4% of the vote.

On Day 16, Toya had been revealed to become the Power housemate. She must then chose another housemate to join her and become the Power Couple. She chose Matthew. They then chose Christopher to put up for eviction.

On Day 17, both Toya and Matthew recovered the power to cancel 3 people's nomination, they chose Ash, Marlon and Steven's nomination to be forfeited.

This results in Ash, Chris, Danielle, Marlon, Steven and Winston to join Jale and Christopher to face eviction. Chris has 5 nominations, Ash and Danielle recives 3 nominations while Marlon, Steven and Winston each receives 2 nominations after the cancelling the nominations.

On Day 18, the Power Couple was allowed to save one person from evic tion, Toya and Matthew chose Steven. Steven must then choose one person from the Power Couple to replace him. He chose Toya to face eviction.

On Day 23, Toya became the 3rd housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

This week, the female housemates become the Power Housemates and will have immunity for the entire week. All male housemates will also automatically face eviction.

In the end, the female housemates chose to save Chris, Marlon and Steven. Leaving Ash, Christopher, Mark, Matthew and Winston to face the public vote.

On Day 30, Matthew became the 4th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

This is the first week without the Power Housemate Twist.

On Day 32, Ashleigh, Chris, Christopher and Marlon are put up for eviction alongside Jale. Ashleigh recieved 4 nominations, Chris, Christopher and Marlon each received 3 nominations.

On Day 34, Marlon decided to save himself from eviction by failing the shopping task.

On Day 37, Jale became the 5th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

On Day 39, nominations took place, but unknowns to the housemates, the person with the most nominations will be evicted. All housemates except Helen are put in risk to be evicted, the 3 people with most nominations are Ash, Ashleigh and Marlon.

On Day 40, Marlon received the most nominations and became the 6th housemate to be evicted.

On Day 40, after Marlon's eviction, Bianca, Pav and Zoe entered the house. The 3 housemates were also announced to become the Power Housemates and will have the power to evict 1 old housemate except Helen.

However, the new housemates weren't also immune from eviction, the person receiving the least votes to save will be evicted from the Big Brother house on the same day.

The first round of eviction is the Public Voting, Biannca received the least amount votes to save and became the 7th housemate to be evicted.

The second round of eviction saw Pav and Zoe evicting one housemate. Kimberly had to temporally leave the house due to her illness making her ineligible to be evicted.

They chose Danielle.

Danielle became the 8th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house and the final victim of Armageddon Week.

On Day 45, after the double eviction. Kimberly was confirmed to not return to the house due to her illness being worsened.

On the same day, Ashleigh was voted to become the Power Housemate. She was then told to form a Power Alliance which she choose Chris and Mark to become the Power Alliance.

The next few days they chose to nominate Ash, Pav, Steven and Zoe.

However, on Day 48, the nominated housemates were given to save one person from eviction and replace them from one member of the Power Alliance. They saved Ash and replaced him with Ashleigh.

On Day 51, Steven became the 9th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

On Day 51, The UK Public became the Power Housemate. They are able to give one person immunity, they chose Asleigh. The house has nominated Chris, Pav & Zoe. Pav received 7 nominations, Zoe receives 5 nominations and Chris receives 3 nominations.

On Day 58, Zoe became the 10th housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

On Day 61, Christopher, Mark, Pav and Winston are nominated by the house. Pav received 7 nominations, Christopher received 4 nominations, Mark and Winston each received 2 nominations.

On Day 62, the Power Of Money Twist was announced, the 3 remaining housemates that are not nominated will each receive an envelop with a sum of money. The group will then have to put one of them up for eviction, and potentially add that sum of money into the prize fund. The group nominated Chris.

On Day 65, Mark and Winston became the 11th and 12th housemates to be evicted from the Big Brother house.

Trivia

• This series was the first to have a female winner since the show moved to Channel 5, as well as the first series overall to have a female Final 2.
• Helen's victory was highly controversial for a number of reasons. On Day 1 Pauline (as the Power Housemate) had given Helen a pass to the Finale, meaning she was immune from nomination and eviction for the entire duration of her stay in the house. Some fans saw this as unfair, since as a result of this Helen was given a free ride to the finale without ever having to face a challenge. In addition, Helen herself was a highly controversial housemate, making several inflammatory statements against her fellow housemates while in the house. Going in to Finale Night Ashleigh was selected as the bookies' favorite to win. After the show aired it was revealed that 1.2% of the vote separated Helen and Ashleigh, making this one of the closest votes in the show's history. Television regulation committee Ofcom would later receive almost 500 complaints from viewers claiming that the vote had been rigged in Helen's favor.
