Big Brother: Unlocked is a spin-off after show held for Big Brother 27 (US) hosted by a panel of alumni.
Development[]
The Big Brother 26 panel likely led to the concept of Big Brother: Unlocked.
During Big Brother 26 (US), a special catch-up episode was aired during Week 4 featuring a panel of former winners: Cody Calafiore (BB22), Taylor Hale (BB24) and Jag Bains (BB25) discussing the events of the season up to that point.[1]
On May 14, 2025, it was announced that Big Brother: Unlocked, would air every other Friday at 8 PM starting on July 25. The show will feature an alumni panel of three "All-Stars", similar to the special episode mentioned above. This new spin-off plus the extended runtime of the Wednesday night episodes of the main show totals up to four and a half hours of Big Brother on air weekly, the most hours since its launch, honoring the 25th anniversary of the premiere with this "super-sized" season, marketed as "the biggest season ever".[2] Each Unlocked episode was officially classified as another episode of BB27. For example, Unlocked Episode 1 is listed as BB27 Episode 8 on channel guides and streaming services.

Additional details were released on July 22, 2025, confirming that the series will be hosted by Taylor and Derrick Levasseur (BB16), with a rotating cast BB legends and celebrity superfans joining them in each episode.[3] The show will dive into strategy analysis, live eviction fallout, and behind-the-scenes commentary with guest alumni and fan-favorite segments.
In the first episode, former winner Chelsie Baham (BB26) was revealed to be a recurring guest with her own segment to focus on their fantasy draft, along with a different alumni coming back for their own unique segment every episode.
Although the show was originally stated to receive 6 episodes, on the Wednesday, September 17 episode of BB27, it was announced that the upcoming fifth episode would be the finale of Unlocked. The remaining Friday episode on September 26, two days before the main season finale, would be converted to a regular episode.

Broadcast[]
The show airs bi-weekly on Fridays on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 PM EST.
Format[]
The program features Taylor and Derrick leading recurring segments including: "Big Move/Bad Move", "The Rant Room", "Binge Worthy or Cringe Worthy", "The H.O.T./N.O.T. List", "BB Breaking News", and "Who To Goo?" along with a brief interview with the most recently evicted houseguest from the Thursday night before. Other unscripted moments and raw reactions from former houseguests are set to give deeper insights into weekly gameplay, along with some "never-before-seen" footage from the live feeds that never made it into the final episodes until now, the segment being titled "Cutting Room Floor". Beginning with the second episode, Unlocked would also see the revival of hometown & family segments, checking in with the family of certain houseguests still in the game.
Every episode, a former alumni will come back to host their own unique pre-recorded segment where they discuss the houseguests, while Chelsie participated in the first ever "Fantasy BB" houseguest draft for the season alongside Taylor, Derrick and "Intern Andrew", hosted by Matthew Berry, and will continue to pop in as they check in on their draft status as the official correspondent. When the show returns from commercial break the hosts will quickly look at some viral fan and alumni tweets through the weeks following the episodes. Jerry O'Connell also had a recurring segment called "Terrible Takes", where he challenges Derrick and Taylor on an opinion they held the prior episode. There would also be a dedicated segment to the "Intern Andrew" character. There was a one off segment in the first episode, "Who To Goo?", which prompted the audience to vote on a random superlative about the houseguests, where the winner of the poll will get blasted with the traditional Big Brother paint and slime splatter during the following Unlocked episode. The finale episode featured the season's first look at The Jury House, and "The BBies", an award show dedicated to the moments of the season with an alumni coming to set to host.
Each Unlocked episode ends with one last segment, where Derrick and Taylor will showcase a "Sneak Peak" at the upcoming Head of Household competition that would be shown on the following Sunday episode.

^1 Houseguests who were evicted on weeks with no Unlocked episode (Zae Frederich, Adrian Rocha, Zach Cornell, Katherine Woodman) were not interviewed.
^2 Abbreviated by 30 minutes and aired on a Sunday as a 90-minute special packaged with the regularly scheduled episode that night due to a scheduling conflict with college football the prior Friday.
^3 This week's evicted houseguest, Rylie Jeffries, was not interviewed due to the abbreviated episode.
^4 Instead of bringing the most recent evicted houseguests (Kelley Jorgensen and Lauren Domingue) onto the set, this episode featured a Jury House segment with the two Jurors who had already been living there.
