Background

Previously over the 2006-2007 Holiday season, Endemol announced an online version of their popular show Big Brother.[1] The concept selected fifteen different users of the Second Life online platform. Divided up into three different time zones, the users would have to spend at least eight hours inside of the virtual world completing tasks and socializing with the fellow housemates.[2][3] After 34 days, Madlen Flint from Hungary became the winner of Big Brother Second Life winning a virtual island worth US$ 1,675.[1]

In May 2020, it was announced by the Endemol Shine Group that a mobile game based around the show would be released later in 2020.[2] Based around the American and Canadian versions of the show. Players will strategize, vote, and evict their fellow competitors.
