History

Early Days And Initial Bonding

In the early days of the game, houseguests America Lopez and Cory Wurtenberger would start off as allies in the Family Style alliance which had been formed in Week 1. Despite both America and Cory being included in the Family Style alliance, the pair hadn't really spoken game or personally much at all with the exception of a few conversations. It wasn't until Week 2 on day 12 that the pair had their first extensive game conversation which would then allow the duo to start talking game more seriously with each other. Once America and Cory started talking more consistently, they instantly clicked and they realized that they had a lot in common that would allow them to bond, particularly that they were both superfans of Big Brother and that they thought about the game in a similar way to one another. At the end of Day 14/early hours of Day 15, as Cory and America are headed to bed, Cory would turn to America and say the phrase "Thank you for being normal", this would become a phrase that would go on to be referenced multiple times throughout the season as America would never forget it and would later describe it as "the moment that started it all". During these early weeks of bonding and getting to know one another, the connection between Cory and America was already beginning to show as the pair seemed to share a similar sense of humor and would often flirt with one another.

Final 2 Deal

After some initial bonding during the early weeks of the game, the game relationship between America and Cory started becoming stronger during Week 3 as the pair would start having more frequent and daily game talks. Towards the end of Week 3 after it was clear that the duo could trust each other, Cory would approach America with a final 2 deal on Day 22 which America would accept.

Showmance

After weeks of cuddling and getting to know each other Cory and America would share their first kiss on Day 40. During kissing, Cory would ask America if they were in a showmance, to which America would reply affirmingly.

Official Relationship

As the weeks went on the bond between Cory and America would only continue to grow. During Week 10 the pair would decide to define their relationship and they would officially become an exclusive Boyfriend/Girlfriend pairing. On Day 79, before Cory was to be evicted from the house, Cory and America would tell each other that they love one another.

Trivia

• The pair had several "ship" names such as Cormerica and Camerica but finally settled on Americory after watching their messages from home in jury and hearing Cory's dad say that Americory was the term used on the outside.
